From this generation:
Modern Warfare 2 - Interactive movie. Enough said.
Bulletstorm - Unengaging gameplay mechanics. Awful setting and atmosphere. Bad story. Bad humor.

The Bad:
Halo 2 - The glitchy, sloppy campaign would be a chore if it wasn't so short
Doom 3 - If only the shotgun was realistic. I'd like to be able to hit a target more than 2 feet away from me, it's not a pellet sword. Also, we have tactical lights now, why not in 2145?
The Ugly:
Far Cry 2 - I'm shocked that so few have mentioned it. Gut wrenching boring, like eating a bathtub full of plain macaroni.
Can't remember its name but I tried the demo of an XBLA FPS which I thought was terrible. Then Goldeneye Reloaded, which was a total travesty compared to the original.
@NobleTeam360: I though Homefrotn was rather good. Not amazing but enjoyable.
@Bouzane: Are you another one of those users who just posts sarcastic stuff?

No, certainly wasn't that as I don't get movie-based games. Had a think and a search on the Xbox site. It was Blacklight: Tango Down.

That would've been my second guess

No sir, it's just that:
A: I have standards
B: I research games before I buy them meaning that I avoid the truly awful games.
That being said, Far Cry 2 was just flat out terrible whereas Halo 2 and Doom 3 were at least playable.

'Halo 2 - The glitchy, sloppy campaign would be a chore if it wasn't so short'
Looking back at your post, I think I mistook Far Cry 2 and Doom 3 for games that were universally liked. However, your description of Halo 2 is pretty much the opposite of how I would describe it, hence my assumption. Guess it's just a difference of opinion.
uhmm no clue, i did never play really bad games except of nagano winter olympics 1998. maybe far cry 2 which i played a little bit and not more. not many ego-shooters i didn't play through but that was too boring.
and maybe killzone 2. i hated the first hour or so and a friend of mine who played with me as well so we started to play god of war 3 very soon (i bought both and uncharted 2 together with my ps3)
€dit: oh ok i looked at the worst fps on gamerankings and now i know which was the worst - medal of honor: airborne! i almost forgot that i played that shit.
Well Halo 3 is the worst byfar for me but about others i don't know...Homefront and CS 1.6 are really rubbish
