Forums - Gaming - If you’re buying a Mature game, don’t bring younger siblings

This is a little insane. First of all stores can't refuse to sell a game to anyone, most stores have a policy against that for racial and discriminatory purposes. Secondly if he was buying it for the little brother, who cares. The person purchasing it was over 18 so they should have just sold it to him.

It's not the same deal as alcohol because minors playing M rated games is perfectly legal.

actually the real legal issue here is the gift cards. When you purchase a gift card they are good for any item in that store, so by refusing his purchase, they are entering into a bait and switch situation.

well the retarded DID try to pay for it with his LITTLE BROTHER'S gift cards. what a loser!!!! he got what he had coming. what a douchebag.

i bought metal gear solid 2 with my little brother by me. but i paid for it myself.

Metalcore, Hardcore, Punk, Emo, Rock.

thats a load of chicken sh*t bull sh*t!

Makes sense to me. I've never understood putting ratings on media (games, cds, etc) when all retailers sell it to anyone anyways. If someone is obviously out of the age range they should not be allowed to purchase it.

That is stupid before I was old enough I always took my older brother with me to get M Rated games and didn't have any problems. I would reach into my wallet give the money to me bro and he would toss it to the cashier no big deal.
Think If they applied that rule everywhere that would mean somebody under 17 couldn't have someone 17 or older get them into the Movie Theater for an R rated movie. That is another thing My brother would do for me. In my town in Illinois as long as my bro stood there I could by the ticket to the show and he would leave and come pick me up when it was over.

I guess rules are really starting to change.

Next thing you we know kids will have to have ID on them to prove they are 13 years to by at game rated T, 10years for E10+, and sixyears for games rated E

But he was over 17 which means he was allowed to buy it. He was 21, old enough to get sent out to war but apparently he's not old enough to play Assassin's Creed....give me a break.

^^ Nice point Edouble24
