Hmm, I think Sony is doing right with the new EU bundle coming out January 18.

That's a good point, that is one hell of a bundle.

MS should consider some kind of deal to pack in Lost Odyssey to compensate.

Absolutely. It's their best market, always has been. I only hope there'll rain some goodness on me here in the icy north as well. "Mine PS3 purchase draws (or draweth if you will) near!!"

Am I the only one who thinks the new bundle isn't that great?

From the RRP you save £30, £300 for 40GB PS3 + £80 for two games =£380.

But you can get it cheaper if you buy separately.

£280 40GB PS3 (amazon) + £33 uncharted (gameplay.com) + £30 for any of the other games (gameplay.com or anywhere) = £343

so unless they sell the new bundle for under the RRP it isn't a great deal.

Trust me, for me it is... Anything beats 4000 NOK for the machine only...

What will the bundle sell for in NOK?  I would hope, based on the price in England, it would be < 4900 NOK, since his separate buying of the games only adds 22.5% to the cost of the PS3.

Torturing the numbers.  Hear them scream.

yeah, people in Europe where probably aware of the tradition, but maybe not people from the USA.

No we did, it's been discussed to death on these forums since like mid december.

Exactly, so many consumers will be able to find even better deals as many are already offering below MSRP.

So you save MSRP, and the is the important part as companies will lower prices to stay compeitive.

Yeah but I was saying that the >50% drop for the PS3 is misleading, because it is down to one country effectively having christmas two weeks late.

anyways why does spain have christams later then everyone?

They don't have it late, they celebrate it at the end of the 12 Days. (I think)

Well, Eastern Europe also do this, their celebration of Christmas is at the end of the 12 days of said Christmas.

Hmm, pie.

Don't know about Spain but eastern orthodox christians celebrate christmas on the 7th of January going by the gregorian calendar which is the standard one now. However technically they still celebrate it on the 25th of December going by the Julian calendar which they still follow for holy days.
