and listen this is something that I notice with a lot of ninty fans including you, you guys jump around in joy about good graphics (omfg zelda hd lookz amazinnnnng) but that is only until the competition comes up with something better, then it's meh who cares about graphics anyways

fact of the matter is sony exclusive line ups include great gameplay, great graphics etc. It's not a deal of one or the other. Have you played journey? Heavy Rain? UC3? (both sp and mp) infamous? R&C? If you think gameplay doesn't set these apart then you are just deluding yourself to the same extent you thought talking for 30mins and showing games you knew about for the other 15 was great for an additional conference!

yes it is. look in 500 uncharted threads and of 10k posts 5k are only about the graphics. surely not about the more as simple gameplay which is a weak point of uncharted. all i thought playing uncharted 2 the first time was "omfg that looks so nice" and i did never think about the gamplay because the graphics flashed me so and this is what you read all the time "omg the graphics". i did not so much read "wow that great aiming" lol

and gameplay of heavy rain? even a game on rails has 10x as much gameplay.

I think you are the one deluding yourself MUGEN, as I can't believe this is coming from your mouth. 

When even your competition gets mad at you for not showing any games, its time to worry. Maybe the competition gets really mad and start producing games lol. :P

This thread was bound to bring such results.

The problem is, you grow up, get older, have more responsibilities and less time to dedicate to games, get married, have kids.  It isn't so much that over time your interests change, but they expand/broaden.  If Sony doesn't address the broad market, they lose.

Nintendo at least sees this.  I think they see it because this directly impacted them over the long haul this gen. 

There are a lot of plates to balance in the console market act.  An expanding user base, content providers, and developers.  Lose sight of any of them and you lose market share, customers, developers, content providers, as well as revenue.

One of the greatest challenges any company faces is getting their product in your home.  Getting you to use it.  Sony was smart in trying to develop the PS3 as an entertainment device, but they're dumb if they don't continue to hit home that they have all the capabilities of the Xbox 360.  If instead, they try to diminish the Xbox 360 they're just going to hurt themselves (like they have in the past) when their own words are used against them.

wait what does that suppose to mean? Graphics is one of the strongest point of that game because that franchise is the best looking franchise on consoles this generation. Of course there will be a lot of discussion about it. The graphics really add to the atmosphere as well because as much as it's a TPS, it's also an adventure game.

Simple gameplay? Unless you play on a easier difficulty level or something I can not see how UC gameplay is 'simpler' than any TPS in the market? Heck the multiplayer has no equal in the ways you can play it.The vertical gameplay and use of elements like water is just not matched. It also has many unique features not found in other mp games anywhere.

Stop being silly, just because you were impressed by the graphics, doesn't mean that's all the game is about. If not we will not hear the end of how amazing Crysis is.

Flower, Journey, Heavy Rain, Ratchet & Clank, MLB The Show, Uncharted, God of War, Sly Cooper, LittleBigPlanet, Demon's Souls, Fat Princess, Killzone, Buzz, inFamous?

Just because they have some of the best looking games this gen doesn't negate the fact that Sony has always been about providing something for everyone, which is why they have so many niche titles as well.
