Wow. What's up with the thread? Did kowenicki hacked into all of your accounts?
It's like Sony suddenly joined Hitler, Apple and Call of Duty in the list of acceptable targets. Shame on you VGC.

@green_sky
Only had a laptop and mine craft lagged badly on it. Laptop then died a few months back and never replaced it.
I then played it on my phone and loved it so much that I built a giant home inside a volcano. However I screwed up and lava leaked in.
I want to play it with better controls but don't feel like buying a new PC yet.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Gotcha. A valid point. Most of the needs are met by tablets now.

it means that a lot of uncharted is about graphics. yes the game is fun and the music is awesome (i believe i gave uncharted 2 95%) but it seems like 90% of people who love uncharted only love it because of the graphics. have you ever seen aldro or so posting about uncharted? it's all only about "here i have 100 new pics with the graphics". just put average graphics in uncharted and you would see how many fans it would have after that. a game like god of war or halo would have many fans without graphics (halo did not even have awesome graphics in the past) but i really don't see that for uncharted. i did not very often see someone posting a uncharted video to show the great gameplay. i'm not silly, i just say what i experinced over the last years when people were talking about uncharted. and aiming is bad if you played gears of war a lot as example. that's what i mean with aiming. |
i enjoy uncharted not because of the graphics but because of how diverse the gameplay is ( and by that i mean the ability to climb, swing etc ) which is why after i beat the campaigns for 2 and 3 i've played the multiplayer portions for months and months
in fact i'd even go as far as saying that if i didn't enjoy myself during the multiplayer beta for uncharted 2 as much as i did i may never have bought it
if in your opinion the main reason uncharted is enjoyable is because of its graphics well thats cool but there's no reason to extrapolate that to include anyone else that enjoys it
in terms of gears i'd definitely agree that the shooting is more precise ( because uncharted has recoil on the guns ) ,but the gameplay to me is not as diverse imo as uncharted
Yeah, but the touch controls aren't good enough. If I can grab a360 for around $50 bucks I would get it just for the game.
Kinda makes me wish I never sold mine.

Am I the only one enjoys uncharted only for how well it tells the story? Lol

From an E3 perspective, the OP makes sense - Sony delivered a presentation based on gaming, Nintendo's was a mix of gaming and social features and Microsoft's was mostly other 'features' with a bit of gaming in there.
And to be honest, this is just the Sony way of doing things. They've pretty much always insulted the competition at every single opportunity they've had - doesn't make them right, but at least it makes them consistent.
I like that Sony deliver such a diverse gaming experience. Neither of the other consoles offer the same mix of gaming experiences that Sony do - Microsoft and Nintendo both seem to excel in certain areas, while Sony do very well in nearly ever area. As a gamer, that's a much better deal for me. For Sony as a company, it's looking more and more like it's not going to be a viable situation to sustain, which I'm pretty disappointed about. But you can't have everything!

Wow this thread went to hell fast, Euphoria you still alive buddy?
As for the Uncharted graphics comments, yes I actually agree on VGC the fans here would not shut up about graphics and same is true with my friends, however it is very impressive game with awesome story and platforming.
Really the smart individuals on this site will cover more than just oooooooooooh pretty comments. CGI for example focuses both on graphics and storytelling when it comes to gameplay. Euphoria, and Carl will mostly focus on gameplay and story from what I can remember. I know I left out a bunch of Sony fans, but large majority do fit this stereotype notion of caring too much about graphics and sony does very much cater towards them.....a certain Xbox 360 fan also fits the category.
(I know Carl and Euphoria or even CGI aren't Sony only fans, but they come to mind right now.)
I personally put Storytelling and Gameplay (and both Sony and Nintendo suit me fine with these two category) above anything.
Edit: Now to read it once over to see if I conveyed what I meant.

Even Sony was losing touch with gamers the past few years. They were pushing 3D SO HARD but no one cared...
This year at E3 they didn't even mention it. Looks like they finally get the message. "We don't care about 3D"
For a pure gamer, PS3 is definitely receiving the best support in terms of new IP and those multiplats.
360 has it beat in multi-media and digital though.(Minecraft is already at 2million sold)
