For The Last Of Us, I'm guessing? Should have been there by now.

Btw, I love this idea (joint Official Thread). May do it again in the future!

Yeah, I thought so too. Just had a look and I cant find it anywhere.

Wanna see it in full HD on my TV!

Wow reading about all the incoming TLoU news, especially about how advanced the AI is, has my hype going to a point I didn't expect, even for a ND game. Really can't wait to get my hands on this. Wish so bad it was coming out this year.

This is probably the best article there is regarding The Last Of Us' AI (and answers your question of "how did I know", Jay50)

In a more dangerous situation, however, every single dynamic takes on major significance. When they’re discovered, Joel pulls out his revolver. Instantly, a scavenger warns his friends: “Aw, shit! He’s got a gun!”

“How many did you see?”

“Only saw one! He’s right by the door!” And yes, that’s right where Joel’s hiding. When he fires his gun, Ellie jumps, covering her ears. One of the scavengers gets the jump on Joel, bashing him up and adding a nasty cut across Joel’s nose before putting him in a choke hold for the men aiming from the windows. They take their time, making sure they hit Joel and not their friend.

At times like these, we’ve seen Ellie jump in before, using her butterfly knife to stick someone who’s got Joel on the ropes. This time, nothing … because those gunmen at the windows will take her out if she tries, and she knows it. Naughty Dog built a survival instinct into Ellie. It’s so good, Naughty Dog decided that players didn’t need the ability to direct her. Ellie directs herself.

It's Jay520, not Jay50. I take offense to that.

So she'll only help out when it's safe for her. I wonder if there's a limited number of rescues she'll perform, or if she'll rescue Joel everytime she can do so safely. I hope for the former. I like dying. I need to wait for more info

Well sorry you take offense to typos, but this is the internet. They're gonna happen (like when you called me CGI quality one time instead of CGI-Quality). Not a big deal.

To the game, everyone who's played the game has said the A.I. is second-to-none [literally]. No game before it is as smart. You basically got the answer you were looking for.

http://www.destructoid.com/e3-player-choice-completely-changes-the-last-of-us-229028.phtml

"Ellie's movement and behavior is controlled by AI that adapts to player choice and performance. There are rule sets that look for how challenges play out as you play as Joel. So, if Joel engages enemies offensively, Ellie will follow. If Joel chooses stealth, Ellie will try to follow, with her motivations falling right in line with the player's. The game will track things like inventory, tendencies and other triggers to change Ellie's behavior dynamically, meaning that if Joel needs help, Ellie will probably try to help out. The goal was to make her feel like another human in the same situation, and you'll see her grow over the course of the game".

Guys, please visit that link!

Well, if you remembered it after all this time, then it must have been a big deal. When it comes to usernames, I know how important these things are. They're our trademark. They are who we are. And if you change the username, it's like you're changing a person's character. Y'know?

Aaanyway, yes, the game appears to have some nice AI. I wouldn't say THE best, but still amazing.
