This is just the first of the 4 major weeks to come

Week 2 will have Gundam, which will not be very big, but it's the start of VVV - Vita's Vengeance Venture - so it's important.
Week 3 is Persona 4 week - the biggest week of the year for Vita. Very important.
Week 4 is the mega pokemon week. Software will do amazing, but I'm interested in the impact for 3DS hardware - at least a little boost it should have

From week ending January 2 until week ending June 3, 3DS has outsold every other videogame system combined except for 3 weeks:

- Week ending March 4, One Piece released that week.

- Week ending March 11, One Piece effect.

- Week ending March 18, One Piece effect?

Maybe 1 million Wii and 500K Wii U?

I really don't know, easily the hardest game to predict right now

Hard to say until TGS. Look at DS to PSP sales during last gen.

Sony are also really lucky that handhelds don't count.

PSP resurrection in Japan happened because DS was unable to play Monster Hunter. Well 3DS is. They really need to come up with something new. Shame that SCEJ has been so shit for years. Where are all Monster Hunter clones?

For comparison's sake, let's see the DS DQM games and the original game:

Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's 3D Wonderland - 513,183

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker - 627,022/1,490,829

Joker 2 - 645,582/1,240,045

Joker 2: Professional - 169,251/614,708

Dragon Quest Monsters - 401,497/2,336,425

Having all that typed, I have to say, I thought Terry's 3D Wonderland would've done less but it should be a million seller at least. 

Dragon's Dogma is holding on nicely, the 360 version even making a rare second week appearance for the platform. The three 3DS titles are still up along with Kid Icarus: Uprising and Fire Emblem: Awakening, the latter now over 400K.

As for the PSV in Japan, honestly, I'm a little surprised that Namco-Bandai and Sega aren't fully taking advantage of no Monster Hunter. God Eater and the Phantasy Star Portable games were the best selling MH style games. I'm seeing a missed opportunity on their part.

Soul Sacrifice is coming to fill that void.

God Eater 2 is TBA for PSP, too. But you're right, Monster Hunter is a deal breaker in japan right now. MH4 will be huge if left alone on the 3DS
