Maybe it was allready said....but if it wasnt scripted then why wasnt there any button mashing when you had the guy in the choke hold. Not engaging gameplay if that epic choke hold you give the guy didnt require you maintaining it.

How do you know if there wasn't any button mashing? There doesn't need to be a prompt.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(

I don't understand.

I never tought it was scripted.

It wasn't some uber graphical beast or some unbelieveable thing.

Looked like the game I'm playing now just a different world. (Uncharted 2)

Now if this thread was about Watchdogs or Crysis 3 Id have understood.

Just noticed something I hadnt noticed before.

In your inventory, you actually craft the items. You dont just get the molotov, you need the damn materials to make it.

Wasn't sure about that before, but now that I didn't imagine it: effing sweet! This one looks to sweep the Goty awards for 2013!

To be fair, when I watched the demo I tought it was scripted. But now that ND says otherwise, I believe them. So far, the game looks great.
Does anybody knows how the game is played? I mean, when the guys attacks Joel there isn't any QTE or button to press, it's just weird. Maybe that's because people think it's scripted?

3DS FC :  4339 - 3326 - 7693. Add me :) Nickname Tin

Why would people think that its scripted? The Uncharted games are full of these seemingly random happenings in combat and quicktime events. It plays almost exactly like Uncharted 2 and 3 but the visuals have been amped up a fair bit.

It wasn't about the graphics but the way the player interacts with the world and the AI of the enemy and Ellie. Some people assumed the entire demo was linear and all events were setup so anyone else playing the demo would encounter the same events in the same order.

I thought the game looked good and it's always good to have multiple options.

Gamespot said theres more exploration. In the demo they saw: The ladder was actually had to be found and put there, whe nthey're in the motel :D!

And they said its NOT scripted, they saw it differently. ND compared the AI to poker: They will see your situation and act etc.

Fucking cool!!

Naughty Dog showed me The Last Of Us. They presented route game play different from the conference.

well, this is more or less what every game does - otherwise all games were totally predictable and would always be the same (like the first mario games). this is surely not a wohle partial order planning or something but perhaps comparable. most probably it relies on rather small game-trees with some alpha-beta-pruning but as mentioned before, nowadays games use them, too. so i don't see what last of us will do different here.
