I already made this thread, but OK APM...
Which was the best? | |||

I'm leaning towards Ubisoft. Think all the big 3 were about the same. May give the edge for Nintendo as there wasn't a huge 30-40 minute lull in the middle like the other 2. But probably going to go with Ubisoft and just leave it at that. A rather dull conference year at E3.

Nintendo WiiU: D
Sony PS3: B-
Microsoft: D-
Sony Vita: D-
Nintendo 3DS: ???
EA: F
Ubisoft: A-
Konami: N/A

By system:
360 - 6/10
PS3 - 8/10
Vita - 1/10
Wii U - 2/10 - And my favorite game of all was announced!
3DS still up, and Paper Mario was amazing... so so far a solid 6. Can go up or down
Ubisoft - 8/10
Since I have no interest in PS3, this was the worst e3 ever.
Microsoft - 8/10 Showed all the games people wanted, and integration with Windows 8 and tablets furthers their business objectives
Sony - 7/10 Again showed the expected titles, but nothing really new
Nintendo (objective) - 5/10 Showed ports of old PS3/360 titles as if they were exciting; Mario 3DS and Wii U are identical to each other and to previous versions; Nintendo Land won't bring in the casuals because people don't buy games based on name. The Animal Crossing minigame is not AC etc
Nintendo (personal) - 0/10 I saw nothing I would buy at all other than the announced Paper Mario 3DS and even then they screwed up the music so I'm wavering. This will be the first Nintendo console since I started with the N64 I haven't bought. (N64, GBC, Day 1 GC/GBA/Wii/DS/3DS)
I wonder what 3DS will be like tomorrow. Expectations set to expect nothing. So One big annoucement will be good haha.
I actually think it was one of the worst E3's.
The most promising and exciting parts for me were:
Halo 4
SmartGlass
Splinter Cell
The Last Of Us
Forza Horizon
Nintendo imo are out of the game. Considering Smartglass can do everything the Wii U does and a whole lot more.
Nintendo to me are now dead after this E3.
Microsoft and Sony going in very different directions.
Was hoping Sony would have more decent exclusives to show, but was fairly disappointed.
Entertainment side Microsoft wins ands down. And finally a browser that will work on TVs well.
Sony need to think outside of videogames imo or next gen they are in trouble. Because I have a small hedged bet Microsoft will make a deal with LG, Samsung etc to have nextbox inbuilt to the TV using full fledged Live and its many partners. Microsoft are seriously closing in on Cable providers.
Halo 4 was by far the best thing at the show bar none.
Nintendo = 0
Microsoft = 8
Sony = 5
Didnt watch the others.
I care just as much about the entertainment side of things as games. So hence my ratings might be different.
Microsoft are catering and moving things forward as a whole much more than Sony or Nintendo. So yeah.
Now back to Uncharted 2. :)
