the quantic dream "game" looks good but can't really say a lot about it
god of war was exactly like expected
last of us looks brilliant, too bad it looks more scripted and linear than i was hoping for but still my most anticipated game for ps3 short before ni no kuni.
vita was not so good except tat nice assasins creed game but i'm not interested in vita so i don't really care

overall i would give it a 6

4/10.
The Last Of Us seems to me an Uncharted with new skins, it's nice, but different from what I was expecting. To be honest disappointing (too much hype for this game). The Super Smash Bros Sony, well, I'm really embarassing...
God Of War is always a good game, but is basic the same game.

In the end, I feel that I lost my time like in the MS conference.

Pros

-The Last of Us looked amazing

-God of War looked great

-Intro was good

-Beyond was interesting

Cons

-No Vita games

-PSASBR took a lot of cues from Smash Bros., though it isn't a straight clone

-No real surprises

-No new games announced besides Beyond

-Too much time dedicated to Wonderbook

Just a bit better than MS. Both of them opened up great and then they dropped the ball completely but Sony recovered much better than MS.

Not bad:

  • Beyond looked good but the lack of gameplay was disappointing.
  • Ship battles!!!
  • Something that I forgot.
  • Last of Us looked interesting. Best of Sony's offerings.

Bad:

  • You can't turn ships around like that goddamnit!
  • Not impressed by Sony All-Stars.
  • The bookie thing was horrible.
  • Underwhelming content for Vita.
  • I want surprises!

5/10

Meh

Fuck it, bump my score to a 6/10, still a C.

F = 0
E = 1-2
D = 3-4
C = 5-6
B = 7-8
A = 9
A* = 10

I'll do my analysis after I've slept on it.

EDIT: NO, back down to a 5.

I skimmed through the conference, and skipped the Move bits. Did they talk about the Vita at all?

Beyond: Two Souls looks amazing, not as cool as Heavy Rain, and a bit wack, but cool. The Last of Us looks fun as hell and is reason enough to buy a PS3, but Playstation Battle Royal makes me want to cry. What a complete Smash Bros Rip.

4/10. Some really amazing games, really lame ones, and a lack of Vita.

6/10. I'd give the MS conference the same (Meh was my vote there).

Seriously, you guys have REALLY let your standards drop if you think these have been great conferences. Ubisoft has been the most impressive, which is nuts considering previous years. Watch Dogs looks like something special and is the biggest surprise yet.  Beyond showed no gameplay (which is a slippery slope with a Cage game anyway ...), GoW looked like it's predecessors (which is not a knock), but The Last of Us, while having great graphics and environments, showed gameplay that was extremely derivative.

As I said in another thread, wildly mediocre.

Almost nothing new revealed except the book. This is E3. Gameplay of games we know about already is not enough.

Wonderbook was a bit embarassing, but hey, shit products sell, maybe Sony can pull a Kinect trying random shit.
