I would be interested in you trying a good FPS on the Wii and then your comments concerning the controls vs. the controls on the 360. I imagine you played lots of FPS on the 360. So far I heard MP3 and MOH2: Heroes (or such) have the best controls...

From my experience, IR is more fun and precise than dual analog, and more fun than mouse and keyboard but not more precise (experiences based off MoH:H2 and MP3).

360 would usually be with dual analog, right?

Yes, the 360 uses Dual Analog.

I'm really surprised you like Wiisports more than SMG, as a gamer. I thought Wiisports wore off in mere hours, but SMG is every bit as much fun as Mario 64!
I haven't played Zelda on the Wii yet, but I'm pretty sure I'd love it (as a true Zelda addict).
Zack & Wiki looks like an allright game I guess, but true games in the spirit of Full Throttle (which I played to death!) are, sadly, dead years ago with the PC adventure era we once had.

I think this webiste is the only place where I would hear a discussion so civil about Wii vs. 360. I think that for many they serve as a good compliment, as the games in general target very different tastes. I attended a friends birthday where he recieved a 360 and a few games(he was already a Wii owner). Everyone enjoyed watching Halo for a while, and we also played Call of Duty 4. But it was teh Mii Channel and WiiSports that we played teh most.

So I say enjoy your systems, we live in a blessed time for gaming where some much good entertinemnt is available.

QFT - that's why i like this site soo much.  I don't care if people disagree with me as long as they use intelligent conversation to disagree instead of whiny insults.

Being a true Zelda addict, why have you not played a one year old Zelda game yet???????

I too was a big fan of P&C Adventures on the PC back in the 90s.  Zack & Wiki not only revives that, but is a great puzzle game as well.  Easily the most mentally challenging game I played all year.

More so than Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn?

(Battle saves aren't allowed in Radiant Dawn's Hard mode.)

Didn't play it on hard.  It's really a different kind of mental challenge though.  Radiant Dawn is strategy, whereas Z&W is critical thinking and puzzle solving, although there is some strategy in it too (especially in larger levels), and you do have to think many steps ahead.

YAY!!!! GEBX has an opinion!!!

jk.

but, seriously how could you not like SMG??? Granted, it starts of pretty damn easy and the story is really corny. But, the game is fun. oh, well. Can't win them all I guess. Question though, you said you quit after the 3rd grand star, was that after getting every star before it, or did you just jump ahead when a new galaxy opened up, therefore missing a lot of stars that tend to get much more complicated. Especially all the comet stars.

actually for me, the best wii sports is golf, its plays very well, bowling comes 2nd, and the worst is baseball. Mario Galaxy is a very good game, though i didnt had fun with all stars, but with the most part i did, some are boring, but others are so much fun! it depends on the age, maybe for a 10-18 years old will most likely like the game than a 18+

it doesn't surprise me as all that you didn't like zack and wiki, that is such a niche game i never expected it to appeal to that many people. but you don't like SMG?!?! just wow. how old are you? did you ever play any of the older mario games? do you not like platformers in general?

Well, as a 360 fanboy the games you should probably be playing are Metroid Prime 3, Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles all of which I can personally recommend. I'm excited for No More Heros and Smash Brothers but as they are not out I can't actually give a personal recommendation....yet. Glad you liked Wii Sports, I didn't think I was going to like that one either but I ended up loving it too. xD

I have MP3 and I liked it, but still, WiiSports is my favorite. I wasn't that big on RE either for some reason. Give me Ghost Squad!!!!

until you change your avatar back to Dave Chappelle all your arguments are null and void. xD

ROTFL ... you know, I am feeling rather lucky today ...

Speaking of, sir, which Olsen twin are you? LOL ...

OT - I think the Wii and 360 communities co-exist rather nicely, as stated earlier. I am impressed - and it's also the same way on the Atari forum site. The biggest flame fest you have are between PS3 and 360 folks. I think the 360 folks knew the Wii would win when it was dominating, but hay, it wasn't Sony so that didn't matter.
