I watched Forward Unto Dawn part 2 yesterday, I really liked it, I can't wait for the next episode :D
I am wondering, how long before (or after?) Harvest is FUD?

Why can't I expect it when fanmovies do almost the same for a budget that goes under 100k? |
fanmovies are made by fans, they don't get money for that like the actors in forward unto dawn and they use less expensive equipment with worse quality and stuff like that, but if you have to pay actors and stuff it costs more. i mean, it's like you buy a photo made with an iphone or with a 20k camera and ask why the guy with the 20k camera wants more for his photos. and the video you posted absolutely shows worse technique. they are only in a destert without buildings or anything there but yeah you see some animated stuff. let them use helicopters to film out of those, build warthogs and stuff like that and see if it will be still only 100k for a 90 minutes movie or so.
otherwise i could ask you why a 150 million movie doesn't only cost 5 million because fanmovies cost only 100k.
Part 2 was good as i expected it to be i wish i hadn't waited so long on pre ordering the limited edition. Now i am stuck with the standard edition.

They have warthogs, even created locusts and yes they were/are also filming in buidlings...What I showed you was just a teaser for a +60 minute movie.

maybe, it still is obviously made with much cheaper technique and more expenive technique does cost more. no clue how you can't see that.
and do you have a link to the warthog they drive with? i wonder if it really is as functional as the one in the fallen unto dawn movie.

They both look cheap and from a fan movie that would be normal but not from a 10 million $ movie..
can't find the warthog at the moment but they are working on some nice (life size) locusts though

are you sure that this thing isn't just computer graphics?
and the camera cranes, helicopter scenes and stuff in forward unto dawn cost probably more as the whole fan movie. i have respect for those guys and they will maybe make the best fan made halo movie ever made but really, i just saw another trailer and all the computer effects are way cheaper, not to talk about the real stuff in forward unto dawn which is not even in the fan movie or only as cgi like all the lighting stuff in the buildings and so on.
but let's stop killing this thread, you did expect more, i didn't expect more, our discussion won't change it

As illicit copies and spoiler-laden videos of Halo 4 start to surface on the Internet, Microsoft continues their investigation into how a copy of the game ended up in the wild.
Images of the game discs in an art-free, green case, as well as dashboard photos featuring Halo 4, were posted on NeoGAF on Friday.
Microsoft spokesman Joe DIMiero told Polygon yesterday that the company is working closely with their security teams and law enforcement to investigate the apparent theft.
Polygon caught up with developer 343 Studios at New York Comic Con as they prepared for their Halo 4 panel set for later today.
Frank O'Connor, Halo franchise director, said that Microsoft was aware of the apparent torrents of the game that are now online and of the videos showing the campaign.
"There are people putting the whole thing on YouTube," he said. "Microsoft is addressing that a single case at a time, it just takes a little while to handle."
O'Connor said the leaks of the game and footage won't have any impact on how the game is released or marketed, including today's planned talk on the game at Comic Con.
The entire team seem unfazed by the leak of the game, rumored to have come from a production facility.
"This is how surprised I am about this," O'Connor said as he shrugged slightly, adding that piracy of high-profile games is sort of inevitable.

Halo Waypoint
Halo 4 launches in less than 25 days. The good news is that you are that much closer to having the game in your hands. The bad news is that as discs are being made and distributed, you may start to see leaks. The internet is an awesome place… until it’s no longer an awesome place.
We are working closely with our security teams and law enforcement to address the situation. Piracy is illegal and we are taking vigorous action against it. We have poured our blood, sweat, and tears into Halo 4, and we want you to have the best possible experience with our game, come November 6. If you’re interested in staying spoiler-free, we encourage you to exercise caution when visiting various websites, social networking services, and forums.
Going dark is a customary pre-launch tradition for many gamers, and now may be the time to do that. Thank you to those of you that are reporting the leaks, and we’ll see you November 6. Through the scopes of our Battle Rifles, of course...

It bugs the fuck out of me when people go out there was to spoil a game. It happened with Gears 3 when some Vgchartz's member revealed that really sad part before I got to play it. It pissed me off so much, that I wanted to deck the guy. I've also had the endings ruined for L.A. Noire, God of War 3 and most recently Fable: The Journey.
It takes a lot to get me steamed, but spoiling games and movies are in the top 5.
