ODST was an short expansion to Halo 3. Ascension is two years in the making, Judgement will not have as much story im sure. Ascension isn't an expansion, its a full prequel. 5-6 hour storylines are for fillers like COD whom have idiots paying year after year and being had by activision. Finally they get a new game from them, so lets hope it goes somewhere. ODST was good, but it was really short and not worth the sixty dollars I paid. I cant blame Bungie for Microsoft being a bunch of money grubbing whores who obviously have zero respect for dedicated consumers to Halo. It's just like Epic trying to give away the map packs to the fans for free because of the years of support to the Gears franchise and Microsoft forcing everyone to pay for it alone or get the Season pass to attain it. Multiplayer is multiplayer, the hours you put into it are your own and have absolutely nothing to do with what is actually coming new out of the box. Its an expansion, just like ODST was, plain and simple. If you and the COD crowd want to fork out $60 for a glorified expansion thats your deal, no problem (I am a Battlefield guy and I pay for my moneys worth). I know better. This is no longer an argument just a matter of opinion. Same reason Im switching from Xbox to Steam next gen when my new PC is full operational. I love Gears, but this time Im waiting. Theres far more full games worth the money.

so people who buy games with short stories+multiplayer like cod are idiots but your most favourite genre is fighting games which has nothing except a few stages with short videos between? how exactly can you say your fighting games are worth the money but if someone will play odst hundreds of hours because of co-op gameplay and firefight, that game is only a dlc worth? or the next gears of war which most people buy to play with friends hours over hours? that's the value of games like gears or odst, in fighting games it is the value to play with all characters and play against friends, in odst or gears it is the value to play it with friends again and again to beat highscores in firefight or whatever. and if you buy a game like odst when everyone knows it will be shorter i wonder how you can complain about it then. just don't grab it if you think the singleplayer is too short and if you don't want to play it with friends or don't have friends who play that game. and i'm also not sure why you think gears judgment isn't in development since bulltetstorm release or short after.

You're telling me I am derailing the thread yet you're talking about a fighting game? I am talking about Gears and why its not worth $60, using examples of games with similar hours that just didnt feel full.  ODST was the obvious choice to use because we know its backstory in development and Microsoft forced Bungies hand trying to go for as large of a cash grab as they could. Bulletstorm was a  fun game, but short and ultimately it was the joke of the party. Cliffy B made arrgoant jokes saying it was going to outsell Killzone 3 and even on two consoles it couldnt.

Theres far more to learn and master in a fighting game than a shooter, which is half the reason fighters arent as popular as shooters.

now you see how it is if someone is using something he doesn't see the value in just to prove his point even if it can be totally different for someone else. i see the reason in fighting games, that's why i bought games of the soul calibur, virtua fighter, dead or alive, street fighter and other fighting series. but your logic can be used also for that. i totally understand if someone sees much more value in odst than you see in a fighting game just because you have to learn different things there.

but since that is not really the reason you are posting here i will stop posting now.

Obviously we have different views about what is worth $60. Lets just agree that Judgement is way more than just glorified DLC. For one, we have no idea how long the story will be or everything that will be included in the game. If I remember correctly Bungie was going to make ODST less than the regular price, but MS changed that. Judgement on the other hand has had no indication that it was a "smaller game" from the main trilogy.

Gears of War 3 is one of the best looking games on any console, will be surprassed by Halo 4 and Horizon but that´s ok since this game will take the crown again :D
