It's harmless. You are too young to be having any serious chest problems.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precordial_catch_syndrome

I've had this happen to me before when I was younger, but it doesn't happen anymore. If you're still worried, you are free to go see a doctor. :P

I get precordial catch syndrome quite regularly - painful, but I don't experience any left arm numbness, so I'm not sure if it's the same thing

Idk, it's possible that the shock from sharp chest pain caused him to believe his arm went numb, but again he can go see a doctor if he wants and get it checked.

Yeah, it hurts a lot. I panicked the first time and thought it was a heart attack lol. In the wiki article, it says PCS can happen from "being inactive" so I guess it is because gamers sit in their rooms all day and don't exercise. =(

Yeah. I use to get this a lot in Jr. High and High School. It was painful, but never any arm numbness.

Okay, if it's real. Call the emergency hotline right now. You don't want to miss E3. Your body is obviously NOT ready.

LOL

to everyone else: Thanks for your concern. I feel fine now, my arm feels completely normal. If it happens again I will call a doctor

"I feel fine now, my arm feels completely normal. If it happens again I will call a doctor"

This is such a common phrase used by people who have died from a heart attack. Seriously check it out, better safe then sorry. and ECG takes like 3 mins to perform.

Also don't listen to the guy who said it is harmless because you are young. Heart attacks can kill anyone if their heart is not right. An example some high school kid in the US, died on a basketball court after he shot the winning basket on the buzzer to win the championship for his school in the region. Got existed had a dogey ticker (didn't know was born with a defect) and died.

Might wanna get that checked.

FYI, sitting for periods longer than four hours can be deadly. So, stand up a little more while using the computer... And, see a doctor.

oh man i had this regularly over some years as well. it was so damn bad, you really think you have a knife in your heart for some minutes and you don't want to breath because it hurts even more then. but i believe last time i had this is few years ago.

APM, We aren't trying to scare you, but you seriously need it checked out.

My post is. If it helps him get to a hospital or doctor to check it out then great.

Nah, I do a lot of exercise so it isn't because I'm out of shape

I ended up not doing anything about it, the rest of that night I played some more video games and watched law and order, so if I died I would of been doing what I loved.

I'm fine, thanks for your concern!
