I've had this happen to me before when I was younger, but it doesn't happen anymore. If you're still worried, you are free to go see a doctor. :P

I get precordial catch syndrome quite regularly - painful, but I don't experience any left arm numbness, so I'm not sure if it's the same thing

oh man i had this regularly over some years as well. it was so damn bad, you really think you have a knife in your heart for some minutes and you don't want to breath because it hurts even more then. but i believe last time i had this is few years ago.
