Ok, this thread is only for those who have finished the game and want to simply discuss the events. If you haven't finished the game yet, don't read further.
Personally, I liked how the game kept mentioning how powerful the offspring of the angels and demons were, as it kind of gave some justification as to why the nephalem (you) was able to destroy all the evils of hell all by himself. Still, I thought that Diablo, with all of the other evils in one body, should have been a lot tougher to kill and required the help of some of the angels. He kind of felt way too weak, being the "prime evil" and all. I thought Tyrael should have had a bigger role in defeating Diablo. Aside from that, I thought that Nefarius was way too weak. The aspect of valor himself could only scratch Diablo's face and nothing else?
The betrayal of Adria was well constructed too as it caught me fully by surprise: a mother making the ultimate sacrifices trying to save the world and not seeing her daughter all those years. It also sets the stage for an expansion, as the black soulstone simply fell back down to earth while Diablo died. She will probably get it and release the evils again.
However, that will only lead to the hero (you) destroying them all over again. I feel like the game has become predictable and way too centered on the nephalem's power. I feel like the evils aren't powerful enough such that one man or woman can destroy all of them by himself. There should be more help from the angels or other heroes and such.
