Established franchises are likely to get more and more front-loaded with each iteration.  Legs come from something that isn't familar to people getting the word out and people getting familar with it, based on recommendation from friends.  Something like Minecraft, is going to show long legs, because it is an original IP and more and more people are getting familiar with it.  Would expect, if there was ever a Minecraft 2, it would get more front-loaded sales.

There's a huge difference and they are 2 completely different games.

the decline is in quality and people loving the game, not in sales.

if it was declining which its not, black ops II would buck the trend and will beat mw3. cod probably will decline next generation though
