Forums - Sony - The Horrible Mismanagement of Sonys Worldwide Studios

To me if Sony can be Japan only like Nintendo , it would be the best thing they'd ever do.
Screw their US and UK studious their best games are made by Japan studios , heck they made some of the best games EVER made, while Sony of america getting overpaid to make generic shit.

Ha ha... No.

They just need to manage them properly.

It seems like everything you've mentioned has been discussed a lot on here already. For a few years, actually. (Sony being a poor manager, PSPgo being a failure, devs making low selling games, etc) It's all been discussed by many people already.
You're a little late, huh?

PS2classic and HD Remakes cost money to buy........ Backwards compatability doesnt.

Huge difference buddy. Why should I have to re-buy games that I already own on PS2.

Reported.

And did you ever think that not everyone might own those PS2 classics? Hell, the highest selling Sly game only did a million.

Ignore their biggest money makers? Obviously, you're a Microsoft / Nintendo agent sent here to try to lead Sony into destruction.

Don't listen to him Sony! If you do, you'll be dead immediately!

funny thread is funny

Sony didn't do what I wanted them to do so therefore they failed hurr, hurr

Sony failed because none of their games sell as much as they should, their franchises are weak going into next gen, PS3 is last place in sales, and they continually lose massive amounts of money.

according to whom....Nintendo fans, please tell me you don't get sales advice from Nintendo fans....

and that last part is even more funny (and extremely ironic not to mention wrong) than your OP

No he didn't, but a once big name like MotorStorm has to sell more than 290,000.

The highest selling game Sony has on the PS3 is GT5 at 7.6 million, the game itself wasn't the game most people expected given the devlopment time, and  the PS2 games did MUCH better. The only way it could have done that bad is poor marketing, and brand decay. Who do we blame for that?

Another thing: Move games. The highest selling Move game that Sony has is Sports Champions at 3.27 million. It was heavily bundled. Most of the smaller lower-budget games like Medival Moves flat out flopped. If Sony wants to push the move, they at least need to push some of the smaller, original games. EyePet sold .96 million, and is the best selling Move game that wasn't bundled. That isn't good.

quoted wrong person I'm guessing?

How could we forget the Playstation Xperia Phone... MEGA FAILURE.

PSP Go!... another MEGA FAILURE.

3D taking up disc space in games.... MEGA FAILURE.

Taking backwards compatibility out of PS3.

etc etc etc.... The Failures continue. Don't get me wrong. I love the playstation brand and have owned every Playstation console. I love Naughty Dog, and God of War is one of my favorite franchises. I can't wait for The Last of Us.

But.... I'm not a blind fanboy. I realize that Sony has screwed up royally and its all their managements fault. (Kaz Hirai, Jack Tretton, Ken Kutaragi, etc)

Blu-Ray anyone?

PS2Classics and HD remakes disagree with you there

Mismanagement sugguests they screw themselves over, I argue they made a wise move.

Why should you rebuy games you already have? here's a clue, KEEP THE PS2 YOU ALREADY HAVE, if you don't have a ps2 sell your ps2 games, if you are that keen to keep them buy a new ps2 and quit whining about it. You've had god knows how long to adapt to PS2less PS3s, why oh why are people still bitching about this? Seriously get the hell over it!

If my willingness to "forgive and forget" and move on makes me a fanboy, I can live with it ¬_¬

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

this thread = LOL

Look at it this way, PS4 is gonna have one hell of a launch list!

But technically it does. Removing complete backwards compatibility was one of the key losses that enabled Sony to lower the price of the PS3.
