No. I play games a couple of evenings a week and sometime during the day if my girlfriend is at work and im off. If you play them solid then yes you are a nerd. Games are very mainstream now so most people play them at all ages.

They are absolutely right!

I was often called a nerd not because of my hobby playing video games, but because of my name Maynard. Yes you can see how my friends would change it.

So, no most of my friends are dota, lol gamers and they have the average high school life.

I play games and read gaming magazines at work and sometimes I'm paired up with this older guy that tries to mock me over my hobby. He sits there and reads a newspaper. Doesn't even have a smart phone.

Last time I was on post with him, he made a comment about taking me to Chuckie Cheese so I could play video games all day. I just told him that video games are now the number one form of entertainment, ahead of music and movies and that he was old and behind he times.

I dont think so,  gaming help me and my brother be better film Directors.

what bubble do you live in OP? Perhaps 10-15years ago maybe this would hold true.

But now, I dont know anyone, myself included, who has been called a looser.

I ask them to think about how much time they spend watching tv and playing games in an average week, and I tally up the same for me.

If their total is more than me, I simply ask them why they consider games to make you a looser and watching tv not to.

I have no idea what I'll do if their total is less than me - it's never come up. Presumably smoke bomb and run.
