Forums - Sony - PS4 appears on Sony engineer’s CV

Surely it won't look like this - where's the giant '4'? And the ice maker?

Linkedin is just throwing it out today. The listing appears on Frederick Umminger’s profile, a software engineering manager at Sony Computer Entertainment America. It says that his work between 2010 and the present “Maintained voice chat library for PlayStation 4″.

Not surprising in the least. The new generation is overdue.

Not to mention that ideas and early development of consoles tends to take place shortly after (if not right after) the release of the current one.

this actually doesn't look too bad if this was going to be the PS4...

This picture has been going around since last year. I've seen this before.

Here's a black and white one designed "apparently" by Joseph Dumary. "This concept PS4 features 1.5TB HDD, full 3D 4K2K compatibility, DLNA, HDMI Connect, 3D Blu-Ray, USB 3.0, DPConnect Bravia Sync, Sony Ericsson sync, Qriocity, cloud saving, live TV, and a whole bunch of widgets."

Here is the rest of his work. He even has one for Xbox.

I honestly didn't think it'd be true, though. I expected something totally different from Sony actually. Maybe Sony incorporated his (Joseph) designs?

that's not the ps4, it's the ps3 super slim

edit: dammit beaten

So a device that's been in some fashion actively worked since 2010 wont' show up this E3? LOL!!!!!
