^nope its what i believe--and the only way that will change is if in 2.5 years there is nothing from nintendo about an updated wii--i mean look at the DS as soon as the lite hit the market did you still have people going out and getting phats?

as far as software goes by the time the wii hits 5 years into its life cycle and nears the end it will have over 100 differnt first/third party million sellers

and of that more then half will be over 3 mil

 ds lite is simply a new model that is slimmer and with better lighting...all ds lite games play on ds and ds/ds lite are tracked as one product just like ps2/ps2 slim

^so you agree.....b/t the remake of the wii and the original one the system will end out about 150-160 mil over the next 8-9 years

hopefully at that point there will be another major leap forward in gamming akin to working in motion controls

i see them it mabye to 2 . low number mil next time...which should be in about 5-6 months----so i still stand by my numbers of 70-80 mil for the current hardware model

so u are saying wii2 is just a wii-lite or wii-slim, not a new console with hd graphics, new controls, hard drive, etc?

so basically new colors? all 'wii2' games play the same on wii?

^ i think you will probably see the addition of a memory and maybe a jump to 720 hd and better motion sensors but other then that not much change--no huge hard drive or 1080 (or higher) and proably no dvd player

kinda like the phat to lite---better hardware in spots but still a ds

So 2 and a half more year? So they launch the sequal before that christmas.

Ok, then 1.8M/month*18 months = 32.4M

That means the Wii will only sell 55ish M

For this to be true, you realize that there would have to happen something odd.

1. The videogame market is getting smaller
2. The X360/Ps3 sells a lot more, and ends up at 60-70M each, making the Wii finish in third place.
