So I have been holding off on any pre- orders for software being released this fall. Now often I do this because Black Friday usually sees big games on sale. However right now the WiiU is what's on my mind. Actually I am still not certain NextBox won't be coming this fall I'm not going to say it will but it still seems very plausible to me. PS4 could be shown at E3 and taking pre- orders shortly after as well. Then we have no idea what other new titles are going to be at E3. What is the game coming from WarnerBros Montréal what about THQ Montréal or Microsoft Vancouver or the dozens of other new games from studios like Retro.

Are you also waiting to see what's shown at E3 before pre- ordering?

Waiting for the editions of the games I want to become available before pre-ordering, take for example Halo 4, there will likely be a LE Halo 4 console, but it's not been announced yet so I'm waiting with pre-ordering that.

Same goes for other games in the fall-holiday lineup yeah.

Mostly pre-order bonuses, but also, my card expires in June, so I need to wait for a new one before I can pre-order stuff

The only one that I am actually keen to pre-order is Assassin's Creed: Freedom Edition as that might sell out, but other than that, I am going to try and avoid special editions

I usually only pre-order games a week or 2 before they come out, don't see the point in ordering them months in advance unless some sort of bonus is involved.

Since we only know of a few titles that are coming out in that time span yes. I'm waiting. Plus since I am getting the Wii and we know next to nothing of the launch games yet.

I had Alan Wake on pre-order for ~4 years and Aliens: Colonial Marines pushing close to ~5-6 years now :

As for Aliens, I didn't expect Gearbox and SEGA to announce a game on a notable IP without actually have started development on it, let alone 3 delays of which one was them just dropping development altogether to create Borderlands, piss poor job by both Gearbox and SEGA.

Halo 4, AC 3, Borderlands 2. So far these are the only games i have on pre order. Since Halo 4 is coming out a week before CoD black ops im guessing there won't be a special edition console for one of them, (im thinking Halo will get the special edition console)
