Should you be lying to your kids like this, I mean on the holiday they still get the gifts so does it matter whether they know it's from you or a fat guy in a suit or giant rabbit or some creepy guy in a diaper snatching tooths up from under your pillow?

Once they realize later on in life that you were lying to them wont they think negative of you?

My parents told me about them. I don't hate them at all.

I look back and enjoy the memories I had looking forward to Santa etc., I would feel bad not to be able to give that sense of wonder to my children.

if you would say them "it's all fake", the only thing they could be happy about would be their stupid gifts. i love to remember my childhood when i believed in that, it was a great time and i'm really happy my parents gave me this great years and the imagination of some wonderful things. why should i hate my parents for that, they did it to give me a great time in winter and at easter.

They were fun, weren't they? Making Santa's Cookies, throwing sparkly Rain Deer food in the yard, going to sleep yearly. Huhhh... I miss those innocent times.

The story of Saint Nicholas is real, so I'll tell them the truth. As a kid I never believed in flying rain deers.
