Mario Party? That series has been junk after the third one.

So, 4 million in sales says who cares

I don't think they were saying much after 8. I felt bad for having my mom drive me to the store to rent that PoS.

I think Nintendo will release a few gems between Smash Bros. and the Fall. GTAIV will obviously be the biggest game. A big stretch would be if Wii Fit caught on like Wii Play, and sold a lot due to fat people wanting to be thinner.

One point that is not considered ... Maybe Nintendo doesn't announce games early so it does not have to announce (too many) delays.

That being said, it does seem like the upcoming lineup is a bit thin right now (only 6 pages on Gamestop, compared to 8 for PS3 and 10 for Xbox 360).

Personally, I just don't think that LBP will be the hit on the PS3 that everyone is talking about it being. It has a casual look/feel to it but requires deadicated players. It feels like some sort of mismatch.

Also, I wonder if MGS and GTA-IV are system sellers. Have people been waiting to buy their PS3s or Xbox 360s to play those games? Probably some ... my guess is more GTA-IV and with the extra content, that could be good for the 360.

Also, is anyone aware of any studies that conclusively linked video game violence to real violence. I think the next would be the first -- quite a bold prediction if that is the case.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Little Big Planet will flop, that is for sure, but at least it adds even more variety to PS3's lineup and is a step towards the casual audience. Remember, you don't have to make the levels as there will be tons ready to play at the start.

Nintendo has learned the lessons from Apple. Look at how much hype Apple is able to obtain this week simply because they are keeping the whole world guessing.

Apple is stealing all the thunder from CES, where everyone released everything they possibly could. But now the eyes of the world are on Apple and CES is forgotten. All because Apple keeps it's secrets.
