I would but I can't fin the prediction thread for lbp and I assure you you will see plenty of people claiming 10millions was very possible

In that thread , written by DMeisterJ, he claimed "LittleBigPlanet will be HUGE!", which started this whole "HUGE!" thing here on VGChartz.

When it came to prediction though, I am not sure if Crazymann was still here, but maybe he and DMeister has some high level predictions, but other than that we had one user here named Gearbox who predicted 10M and ever since then it was assumed that Sony fans expected that level of sales.

Gran Turismo 5 as well had some 10 million calls.   Though that one was semi believable since you know... it had actually sold those numbers before.

I remember a few games having 10 million sales predictions myself.  Practically seen as a challenge vs the Wii just based on a "best games" corrolary of some sort.

Speaking of which, did GT5 every hit 10 mil?  Or any sony game?  Call of Duty games at least right?

Yup. 

Sony tooks Nintendos lame Nintendo 64 analog stick and doubled it. It's been standard in gamepads ever since.

Yup, the move was another prime example of Sony crushing the competition (this is a sales thread after all).

On topic though, yes I do believe this can sell 4 million copies, despite lagging in Japan (the Sony franchises are not beloved there). I see holidays giving a good boost to this game for entertainment value.

BUT, other core games will negatively affect its sales (COD, Halo 4).

I am sure that Black Ops 2 and Modern Warfare 3 both passed 10M, but GT5 has not. GT5 is still 2.5M short of 10M, but I guess it could reach it if they bundle it during the holidays.

To be honest i hear that from every PS3 exclusive. Little Big Planet 2 will not sell more than a million, Uncharted 3 will not sell more than  2,5 Millions and much more. In the end i think this game is very ancipated from the PS community so i think 2-3 millions will be quite possible (if it release that holiday of course)

We're obviously talking about videogames on this videogames forum on a videogame topic,  and I'm certain more people know about FF7 and Cloud/Sephiroth than Baldur's Gate or any other RPG.

I think the point most in disbelief about the sales potential of this game aren't thinking about is that Sony is marketing it for the holiday season. They are aiming at everyone from casuals to PS3 owners.
