Forums - Microsoft - Could Microsoft make a Crossover Fighter

By now, we all know that Sony is making a crossover fighter for their PlayStation mascots. And Nintendo has been making Smash Bros games for ages. What I've been wondering is whether Microsoft has a large enough library of characters to make their own crossover fighter.

To my knowledge, the following are the notable 1st party series in XBox history, including properties from Rare and the like.

Avatar-based games

Banjo and Kazooie

Conker

Fable

Forza

Halo

Splosion Man

Viva Pinata

Is that enough to make a crossocer fighter? I know, they'd use a couple of characters from Gears of War, but is the base strong enough to justify a fighter's existence?

Just a thought.

The only guys I can think of are Masterchief and that dude moving like a tank from Gears, whatchamacallim? Marcus or something.

Also Forza? Lol

is turkish always stay in here and don't even play any games?

Could they? Yes.
Will they? Doubt it.

And wow, it took less than a minute for flamebait to enter this thread, impressive.

- Masterchief
- Marcus
- Banjo
- Kazooie
- Conker
- Blinx
- Cortana
- Splosion Man
- The Maw
- Joanna Dark
- Avatars

+ 3rd party stuff.

Could they? Yes.
Should they? Hell no.

One guy ripping off Nintendo is more than enough.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

They could but there are not enough noteworthy characters, similar to Sony's brawler.

Lol they could but it would be the sorriest game I've ever seen. I mean really the only big MS exclusives are Halo, Gears and Forza plus all the Kinect stuff.

They would have to rely on 3rd party characters which they would have to pay to license. They don't have enough good stuff themselves.

They don't need to. They own the Killer Instinct IP!!

But yeah, if they did there probably wouldn't be enough well-known characters. Just like with Sony (even though Sony is in a better spot).

Maybe they could make a smaller, tighter fighter? Like a $15 download instead of a $60 retail title? That would simplify things a bit.

they could but it would be the shortest list of fighters in any game. though i would love to play as marcus, i love gears of war, and playing him in another game would be awesome!
