I actually think it did. With Rock Band's ultra massive DLC possibilities, there was almost no need to buy another rhytm game ever again. They even killed off their own series using that strategy.

 

However... I am fully aware that Sony probably won't be able to do the same thing with PS All-Stars...

That's true. Rock band has a lot of good things going for it =P I highly doubt PS All-Stars will kill off SSB or vice versa. I think they will coexist nicely.

@Conegamer Yes it is. I don't know how it's going to be in the final game, but some may find some fun it. It looks like it could be repetitve though, but I can't say.

I hope they don't waste time with this game during their E3 press conference, mention it in a montage but nothing more.

Nah, I say keep the money in SCEA, Pullus as CEO would only sell games to mostly Japanese and probably lose most of the North American gaming audience.

I'll be getting it because I love Smash Bros gameplay and this will be a blast to play with friends using Sony characters. But come on this is one of the most obvious examples of a game HEAVILY borrowing off of another game I've ever seen. I just honestly don't see Sony having a very good holiday season this year unless they really ad some big name games we don't know about because so far 2012 is looking like the worst lineup the PS3's had in a LONG time. Sony All Stars and LBP Karting aren't near enough to combat some of the other huge franchises that are launching this holiday.

what does Little Big Planet Karting releasing this year have to do with looking similar to a Nintendo game?

i've feared the worse for Sony since 2011 yr. end on this front. FFv13 is their only hope, but i still doubt that will help or come out for that matter. my friend i've often times agreed with you and this time is no different.

i'm holding on to a few things though.

Guerrilla games: 2 KZ's in dev. and one new shooter. reveal at E3?

MM: something new having no idea what it is! reveal at E3? doubtful.

Suckerpunch: new ip! reveal at E3? also doubtful.

Quantic Dreams: new ip! reveal at E3? highly doubtful.

Rockstar: AGENT! may never see the light of day, or E3? both highly probable.

other then that, Soy had better have a big secret they're telling no one or 2012 could very well go to MS.
