Forums - Nintendo - Erm, why is Nintendo stealing my money? (update, they gave it back!)

Edit: Yeah so , after waiting two days (weekend) , i called today , and found that my money has returned , Nintendo has "rejected" the payment, but the weird thing is, that it doesn't say nintendo in the statement, just 'Authorization - Purchase" 

 

 

So in the past I used to just enter my credit card on my 3ds , and get credits on my wallet , it was easy, and it works, note that my 3DS is US made, and I live in Kuwait ala middle east all my stuff is imported, but just now I went on EShop and wanted to get the Rollin western game to see what's the fuzz about but I only had 7 dollas and the game is 9 so I wanted to add funds and this happened

So I thought I entered it wrong so I tried again same thing happened, so I thought maybe Nintendo went to the OH NO WE DON'T NEED YOUR SHITTY NON AMERICAN MONEY!!! Ala region locking, so I left it alone, but 5 minutes later I got a text message on my phone from my bank saying this

Dafuq??

So Nintendo stole my money and didn't give me my credits, why? , look I try to be a legit costumer but this crap is annoying, and yes I just threw $ 100 down the drain..

I guess this is how they're planning to return to profitability next year.



I can't see your images but I guess you got an error from Nintendo and the bank is charging you. Don't worry, the bank registers that a transaction is made but Nintendo won't charge for it and in a few days it will disappear. I guess your credit card is not American, cause I had the same problem the other day. I changed my region to USA (my credit card is from Mexico), tried to buy some games but had the error and received message from the bank. Non of this was charged at the end, so I say don't worry about it, but check in the bank to be sure.

One question, which Region do you have in your 3DS? And before this could you buy games without trouble?

As for your questions yes it did work flawlessly before the recent update , and I don't remember what region I have it on, how do I check?

In the Settings of the 3DS, there you can choose your Region, or in the Street Mii Plaza you can also check it.

It's weird though that before it worked and not now, your Credit Card is not american right?

For example, my credit card is from Mexico and if my Region is set to Mexico there's no problem, but when I changed it to USA (I wanted those damn Club Nintendo coins :(  ) it showed me the same error. I guess something similar is happening to you, from my experience in a few days it will disappear from your Bank because in theory Nintendo is not charging for it.
