I like it. It would explain their vague language last year at E3 about how independent and open their network and platform services would be on the Wii U.

that would be awesome actually, would allow all the shitty but popular android and ios games to be played on WiiU tablet controller, assumed Nintendo changes plans and makes it multi-touch, and would allow for maaaanny apps
don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

If these companies could build around MS' patents than I am sure they would... Although I'm sure Amazon, Acer, and all of them love paying those fees. Motorola is suing MS because they are having a patent cold war. The whole industry seems to be part of it. Edit: Ok, I didn't read what you wrote. Sorry I worked a long shift and didn't get much sleep |
I don't believe Amazon is paying MS any fees as they did work around the issue with the Kindle Fire.

What does Microsoft have to do with this? Android is a Google OS. |
Patent wars. Nearly every Android OEM has to pay MS licensing fees based on rudamentary OS level patents that even Apple and Linux have to cross license.

My mistake, Amazon doesn't pay, but MS is getting paid by the makers of the Kindle.

ah, well there ya go. I still think Motorola's patent attack on MS is Google's way of trying to cross license the critical underlying system in the same fashion as how Linux is ocovered.
I doubt it. Android is made for mobile tablets and phones.....Wii U is a console so it wouldn't work on a HDTV very well.

The Wii U controller will be used for more than just traditional videogames, methinks.
I could see the Upad running Andriod OS.

It could allow Andoid developers to develop for the Wii U controller, which would be pretty neat.
