I despise high TTK. That's the main reason I hate Gears of War and don't play Halo (even though I somewhat like it). I hate games where you pump a full clip into a guy's chest and he walks it off since it wasn't a headshot or whatever...I'm sorry all I shot up was his heart, liver, kidneys and lungs but not his brain...

I like low TTK because it's based on reaction time and quick aim rather than who can jump around more while getting headshots (Halo) or who can roll around more and then shotgun each other (Gears of War)

My favourite online shooters are Call of Duty 4 and Rainbow Six Vegas, both low TTK games.

I like high TTK because it's based on reaction time and quick aim rather then who can shoot the other from behind before they can turn around. The chase, trying to hit a moving target, anticipating where the enemy is running to to throw grenades in his path or aim a rocket at the ground where he will be is where the fun is at for me.

low TTK games attract too many campers for my liking.

Ugh. If I make a game, I will make all snipers two shot kills.

Thus making Bolt-action snipers pretty much useless. Why use a Sniper that takes 2 shots (A very high ttk) instead of a full auto assault/smg/lmg that have extremely fast ttk.

Yep, my feelings as well.... a lower TTK means it is more strategic out of combat (people have to know as much as they can about where people are or else find a place they can see people coming, which leads to snipers and shotgunners hiding in corridors) wheras a higher TTK means there can be strategy during combat, such as circle strafing and using the environment around you to help fight back.

Aim better. Just because you can't aim doesn't mean you should get easy kills. Skill should be rewarded.

And that's exactly what we want in an shooter, isn't it? More snipers and campers. =.=

1. Don't use a bolt action weapon, most modern rifles have semi-automatic capabilities.

2. The game can design levels to better suit sniping in situations where bolt-action snipers make sense... fully automatic weapons are pretty much useless over large distances.

As TWRoO mentioned. I would just get rid of all bolt-action snipers XD

Or, I would add deviation and inaccuracy over long distances (or maybe more scope sway) for semi-autos.

Lol aim better? I've always been in the top 3 on my friends list in accuracy in the Call of Duty series, and I'm just as accurate in other games. But like I said earlier I aim for the chest and it's retarded that videogames think the brain is the only vital organ. With practice I'm sure I could get more headshots, but for now I'll stick to my low TTK games.

"You can actually get to cover, and it's more about out maneuvering your oponent rather than who was lucky enough to get the first shot (and who has the connection advantage)."

Exactly. I hate low TTK. It stinks. Lately I've played a lot of Crisis 2 on PSN  and that game has low TTK and since PSN is a bit slow and my internet also is slow, most of my deaths are due to luck or lag.

You reward headshots because it's HARDER to hit. It's a smaller target than the chest. Your high accuracy based on body shot is worthless. Practice how to aim for the head.
