Forums - Gaming - Live Action Game trailers are stupid

I saw the Prototype 2 live action trailer like 15 times during the UFC event this past weekend and just brought to my mind that live action game trailers are pointless I wanna see so of the game in action.

Around the Network

I thought the Halo Reach ones were awesome.

no, crap live action trailers suck
that prototype 2 trailer counts as crap

Its not bad if the live action creatively moves into actual gameplay. However the prototype 2 commercial is the perfect example of what not to do. A live action only commercial is deceptive and does not display the game at all. Problem is too many consumers would just be "wow that looks cool... runs to buy".

Hate them. I hate CGI and all pre-rendered trailers too.

The only trailers I respect show in-game or at least in-engine graphics.

At the very least they're cool, but I understand that they're pointless because they show nothing.

Some of them are pretty good. So long as they portray what they're meant to in the PROPER way

Exactly, if it gets people to do that, then it's done the job meant for it.

I agree. But they will make the game seem "awesome" through live action trailers.
