Yes, I do know they have been around awhile but I just never cared for the jrpgs that were alot more popular, maybe I should say that I did not like them until the west began to develope them and they became popular

Meta critic also picks and chooses which reviews to put up to spin an angle based on back handed "gifts" from companies............they dont even include all western reviews..........

Which is why most industry pundits agree metacritic is garbage.

Also by comparing those games your assuming the exact same reviews reviewer both sets of games, with the exact same site representation........your also making the silly arguement that bias opinion reviews= quality or accounts for any measurable degree of success

Honestly, does anyone think that game deserves a grade like that?

As the other guy says, its best to just admit theres a problem or things will just keep getting worse. I am a fan of JRPG's (shocking to the one that says im a hater of everything) and i want to see great JRPGs like we had in the PSOne and PS2 era's again, but something needs to change for that to happen, and that starts by admiting that things went wrong this gen and look at the why.

Do you need an example of how broken the system is? Disgaea 3 vita got multiple 90+ scores, 80+ scores and only about 10 percent of them were recorded..........

The game was a great game, and any site can give a game any game they want its just opinion. Game informer gave 13 a 9.25..........so what.......its just there opinion..............

Just like many sites that gave mass effect 3 under a 7, do we agree with it? maybe not but you have to remember its an opinion.......

A website that makes an average of opinion is more reliable than just one opinion is it not? Its ok to disagree, but you dont have a source that is more reliable. Your opinion or my opinion dont superceed it in legitimacy.

In the lack of said perfect website, this is the best we have (You also make it sound like they conviniently choose wich publications to track, instead of wich ones relay the information to them). Again, you alone dont have the legitimacy to call their results false in an analysis. You have your opinion wich equal one said publication. The website averages several publications, thus it isnt the opinion of one individual but several.

If you disagree, bring forth results that are more legitimate than those. Otherwise, sorry to say but its just your opinion vs several other people's opinion.

If the best example we have is bad, we dont use it. They pick which ones to track and not to track and it has no bearing on which ones relay info. Its corrupt

I'm honestly astonished by this statement. Almost everyone I come across view Metacritic as a representative of the whole world, effectively ignoring the East. Then again, it's not something unexpected from pezus. Big props for playing Witcher 2 before it gets known. Regardless the rumor of the discrepancies in Metacritic/Gamerankings picking the reviews to consolidate the score, it should never be a basis of how one formed his own opinion of the game, especially if he has yet to try it. Do not let reviews, sales and metacritic dictate what you should buy or influence your perspective of the game. Everyone has their own set of criteria.

I'm not the biggest fan of Skyrim and this is coming from someone who pre-ordered on steam. My main issue of the game has to do with the very underwhelming combat and dragon's battle. In retrospect, I adored games like Demon/Dark's Soul but metacritic score says otherwise. The very same reason why I prefer Dota ( Dota 2 in future ) over League of Legend, although that partly has to do with the former being a hit in my country. 

Of course this is just my insignificant opinion but it's one that was cultivated over 20 years of gaming and the only that matters ... to me.

PS: Legend of Galactic Heroes is a great anime, you won't be disappointed even if you're not a fan of anime.
