I'm not sure what you're asking, but you do indeed have to pay for every future DLC chapter, but not Spotpass. |
How does spot pass work? Do I have to walk next to someone who has this game? Or do i walk in a best buy or gamestop?

street pass is walking past someone, spotpass im not sure?

I wish they made these features more noticable. Like in pokemon games I wish they woudl send you a notification via email saying "hey there is an 'event' going on right now"
I always seem to miss them.
| irstupid said: BTW how does this dlc work. The free dlc. Can I download it before I even start playing, or do I have to get to a certain point in the story, chapter wise in order to download. Or do I have to beat the game, ect. Or can I download it before I even create my character and it will just be used when the story calls for it. |
This is from Nintendo's press release announcing the release date in NA:
Players with a copy of Fire Emblem Awakening and a broadband Internet connection will be able to access the downloadable content through the Outrealm Gate located on the in-game world map, which will be unlocked after the player completes the fifth mission in the main story mode.
Sure sounds like the second option to me.

Well, I got some "Bonus Box" items today via spotpass and it essentially automatically updates the game when you are connected to the internet (whether you're playing the game or not).

well looked up spotpass.
So spotpass is just having the wifi on while 3ds is sitting there sleeping and it sends info to you that way.
Are these spotpass levels and characters in fire emblem permanent? Or is it like you have them for a week and when next spot pass comes out they erase the last one?
Thank god I'm getting this game digitally because Gamestop said the game's shipment was delayed to the 8th.
