Forums - Nintendo - Official Fire Emblem: Awakening thread- European DLC 16/5 out now!

So here comes the DLC, for Europe:

Outrealm Tales: Champions of Yore 2
Once again, Chrom and his companions visit the Outrealm, this time chasing after a mystery woman who has stolen Old Hubba's cards. She uses the cards to summon ancient heroes, forcing Chrom into battle once again.
Reward: Roy card (allows players to recruit Roy)
Difficulty: 1 star, Price: €1.99/£1.79
Artist: Kimihiko Fujisaka (The Last Story)
In a reversal of fortunes, Chrom is joined by Eirika, Lyn and Celica as NPC units and must defeat all 10 male heroes from previous titles. The enemies on this map are Level 9~12. After completion of the mission, Roy will join as a Level 11 Mercenary.
Enemy data (Lunatic)
Battle map: Chapter 1 (Dark Dragon and Sword of Light)
Map theme: Beyond the Sky (Roy's Journey) (Binding Blade)
Battle theme: Attack! (Binding Blade)
Outrealm Tales: EXPonential Growth
The Entombed are a rare variety of Risen soldiers, said to grant tremendous experience to those who defeat them. At Anna's request, Chrom moves to exterminate them.
Reward: Experience
Difficulty: 2 star, Price: €2.49/£2.29
A whole bunch of Entombed attempt to make a timely escape towards the south of the map. Like the gold-loving risen soldiers from "The Golden Gaffe", the Entombed don't bother to attack, only retaliating. But do watch out for the Level 30 Entombed who have Counter...
Enemy data
Battle map: New
Map theme: Young Light (Heroes of Light and Shadow)
Battle theme: Days of Training (Heroes of Light and Shadow)

Once again, not the same as the American lineup.

Counter is probably the most annoying thing in the DLC maps. If Astra activates and I don't manage to kill the enemy it automatically means death for my character.

I guess it was meant to actually be a deterrent against powerhouse abuse, but still it's annoying as hell.

Edit - 42 Luck Donnel with Armsthrift is nothing short of amazing .

Yea astra used to be my favorite skill, now I usually un-equip it as soon as I learn it.  At least until I have 70+ hp

Yea I had like 48 or 49 luck with Donnel on one of my playthroughs, and you just can stick a brave weapon or whatever you want on him and no worries.  Weapon never breaks.

I'm planning on having Donnel I think marry LIssa so that Owain can get Armsthrift so taht I can have him have that one sword he likes the whole time and not worry about repairing or finding another in the ifninite regalia dlc.

Sometimes even with 70+ HP, Counter can still kill your character. My Assassin Olivia has 78 HP and against the Lvl 20 Warrior with 79 HP on Eliwood's map, she gets automatically KO'ed if Astra activates.

I married my Donnel to my FeMU basically to give Morgan Adaptability from the get go. Since he'll be able to reclass to Mercenary, I'm not too worried about Armsthrift for him. I might give Donnel/Lisa a go on my next file though, since it's the only way for Owain to get Armsthrift (I'll also be going for a 3rd Gen Morgan).

By the time I recruit Morgan his parents are usually so high in stats that he is already maxed out in his tactician or whatever he comes as class.  So i don't care about Adaptability for him.

i just said 70+ cause most counters I found have 65 hp.  I'm sure there are those that have more, but I don't recall them.  Thus my philosophy is just have more hp than enemy then no worries for Astra.

The only way I found to overcome those +70HP enemies was to Astra them with a Killing Sword and hope that a Crit comes out during the 2/3 hits.

As for Morgan, how high were your parent stats when you recruited him? I just recruited Lucina, whose parents ratings were 235 for Olivia and 208 Chrom and she had 156 rating and had a couple of stat gains even on Lord class.

Not sure, that playthrough I no longer have.  I know his mom, cordellia, was completely maxed out on every stats.  Not sure on my avatar though.  Probably all but 2 maxed.

But when I went to his map to finally get him all of his stats were green.  Not sure on hp, that might not have been is it 60?

So yea I just got him and then instnatly promoted, since it was pointless to level him at all.

Summer of scramble is coming tomrrow.

I'm glad I wound up buying this stuff, the conversations were enjoyable in the Harvest festival one. Hope that continues.

O Fredrick and your fueling of ChromxFredrick fanfics everywhere. ;p

Once of these days there will be S rank same sex supports.......I SWEAR IT! (not that its a bad thing)

While, not exactly confirmation, the Ike x Soren supports in Radiant series are probably as close as it is going to get. Personally, I prefer Lissa x Maribelle, myself and Severa seems to have the best supports with all the second generation characters, despite being such a traditional tsudere and valley girl.

One day, maybe, maybe.......

Anywho the only Severa S supports I've done are with:

Brady (liked cause she isn't being a bitch for once and is actually motivating Brady)

Indigo (typical tsudere S support, so meh)

Morgan (ok I guess, I thought this was going to be another "pie" support but gladly it wasn't)

Gerome ("I always wanted to be batman", I liked)

Once you get an S support with a character (husband/wife relationship), no other character can get an S support again with that character right?

Yes. So always save before going into the S support. That is if you are just incase your like me and only pair peeps due to likeing their supports and not want they pass down to their children.

I'm cool with my pairings, though on a new file i'm gonna try and mix them up. This file was mostly on what they could pass to their children, trying to maximize Galeforce and Lifetaker on my team.

Yeah I try and mix it up as well. No one has the same husband/wife across any of my files.

I try and do the same with classes as well. Only Chrom, Great Lord on file 1 and 3, Paladin on 2, and Morgan, Grandmaster on both file 2 and 3, are repeated. I could go Great Knight I guess on Chrom instead Great Lord on file 3 but he just doesn't look right as a Great Knight.
