Again, not a big fan of Olivia.

She's quite possibly the only useful Dancer in the series. I'm a massive Olivia fan. :D

The "where" will remain the same, but the "when" changes between difficulty levels. The harder the difficulty, the sooner the reinforcements appear.

Most maps have someone announce that reinforcements are on their way, so it's usually easy to tell when they'll start to appear. Besides, if the first wave killed one of my units, it wouldn't be that bad in terms of time lost. I am more concerned about waves that appear around turn 8 to 10 or even later.

EDIT: Regarding Etrian Odyssey IV, a video game magazine has put down its release as August 30th. If that's true, that's going to be a long wait.

What I meant was that the reinforcements start spawning in tighter periods. For example, if they appear on turns 4, 6, and 8 on normal, the same waves would probably be on 3, 4, and 5.

As for EO IV, it is a long wait. At least you'll have Mario & Luigi to tide you over. And once EO IV comes out, it'll last you until at least November...

Last boss gets new Lunatic only skill, Rightful God (+30% skill activation).  So he gonna Ignis your ass every turn!

I wondered why that sunuvabitch suddenly started hitting like a Mack Truck...

She's probably the best mother for Lucina; as a swordmaster she does a ton of damage, and she gets access to Dark Flier. The early going is rough from a damage-dealing perspective though, since Dancers' Strength growth is pretty pathetic.

I must say, I thought that Sumia was pretty good, pretty good strength and defence growth, but excellent Speed growth, with passable Resistance. I have no intention of re-classing her from a Great Lord, so...

Did you pass Galeforce from Sumia to Lucina?

If you pair 2 characters and both have galeforce, you could take up to 3 turns.

Obviously not, level was too low. She still has yet to learn it!

It's not that bad.  It is a bit overwelming early on, and some of the DLC is quite hard too, but its a worth while diffculty.

Now Lunatic+ will make you pee blood...

Same as Lunatic but with 1 difference.  Every enemy gets 2 random skills (usually Lunatic+ skills)

Lunatic+ Only Skills:

Vantage+ = Always attacks first.

Aegis/Pavise+ = Passive ability.

Luna+ = Every attack has Luna effect.

Hawkeye = Will always hit target.

At Chapter 3 you start running into Counter.

Marksmen with Counter. : /

Sounds like very cheap design. Especially counter is an awful skill with its 100% activation rate and 100% return of damage. There was one enemy on hard that caught me off guard and finished off one of my units during the enemy's turn. Getting hit and then hitting the enemy twice without killing it resulted in a fast death.

Another thing that really annoys me is that several paralogues are locked away, so I own an incomplete game. (The paid DLC is different, because it doesn't really belong to Awakening's universe.) I can't even play all the maps at the moment, so I am in no rush to tackle the game on lunatic, nevermind lunatic+.

Of all the paid DLC, the EXPonential growth map sounds the most appealing. If I ever buy DLC, this is going to be the first one.

Counter has 100% activation? I've run into it a few times, usually if you land the death blow/finish them with a second attack you don't always take the damage, although sometimes that has happened to me (3 times I've taken damage for both attacks, twice while I was grinding in the EXPonetial Growth DLC).

On Chrom's potential wives, I really have only done two so far, but I am trying like mad on the third file to get it prepped so that Chrom only has Olivia as the potential spouse. Sumia was a superb mother for Luciana in my first playthrough and that was before I realized skills were passed on to the kids. Maribelle... meh. I couldn't get her to have a good skill to pass on quick enough and this Luciana isn't as stable, outside of me grinding like heck after getting her.

Finally beat the game on my fourth file, which as we all know contains me flying team, and I say finally cause I've spent 50 or so hours on it. Massive grinding ftw! As one would expect, it was a smooth ride to the finish for the most part, heck I even beat the last two missions in one turn with the help of Rescue and the Passenger skill. Only hicup was when I forgot to give everyone Iote's Shield, and Maribelle decided to never dodge anything, so a bunch of Assassins ganged up and assassinated her with all their ~30% accuracy. Didn't make that dumb mistake again. xP
So now I can play all them spotpass maps and get the last two potential flyers for my squadron. Once I train them up a bit, it'll be time to take on that Challenge pack DLC, then later, Rogues 3 to start amassing Limit Breakers. At some point, I'm also gonna get my reknown up to 50k so I can grab the second pair of boots for Lucina (first pair was on the Avatar). Wont be much fun recruiting Mist a billion times, but it'll be worth it in the end, especially since I won't have to do so on my next two files. Just wish I woulda done this on my very first file on me other SD card, cause now if I want the second pair on any of those files I'll have to do the whole recruiting biz each time. Sounds pretty agonizing. D:

Well anywho, I think for now though I'm gonna cut back on FE playtime since I've been playing it a ton lately, and not much else. I have good ol Luigi's Mansion sitting there just begging to be beaten. I really feel I should be a lot further along from where I am currently, but I guess I can't really say since idk how long the game is. :L
It's also time to end my Mario Kart 7 hiatus (I'm assuming that means break hehe). The game was really hating me during my last round of it. Never before have I been hit with three blue shells in a single race before. I still managed to snag first, but only because we were on one of my best courses where I win 90% of the time. Anywhere but said courses and I woulda lost for sure, like some of the races prior to that one.
Woops, went pretty off tangent there, but I don't see anything wrong with that. ;)

Holy dolphins! That post was a lot longer than I thought! Still I've seen longer, so I'll have to step up my game next time hehe.
