I mean halving an enemies defense you would think would do more damage, but feels like all I get it like 1-4 more damage. Yet when Ignis happens I end up getting like 20+ more damage. One thing I hope gets improved upon in future games though is magic. They need some sort of triangle action going for magic like they do for other weapons. The only difference they have right now is accuracy, damage and crit slight differences. Then obvious wind versus flying. I miss the Light/Dark magic. Why they remove light? While not sure how wind/fire/lightning can be like sword/spear/axe since a mage can use all three, so no way of saying oh this guy is weak to fire nad not wind, ect. They should maybe add status effects. Like instead of a crit chance fire has a burn chance. Lightning Paralysis chance, and wind still just strong versus flying units. That way you have a reason to have all three in your inventory. |
Should go back to Anima beats Light, Light beats Dark, and Dark beats Anima
The Anima triangle in the older games was Wind beats Thunder, Thunder beats Fire, and Fire beats Wind
The other thing about the magics was the varying Might and Accuracy/Crit chance between them.
Might wise it was Dark > Fire > Thunder > Wind > Light and with Accuracy/Crit being vice-versa (which is still in game).
I'd be against a random chance to stun, stuns are not fun!
