Forums - Nintendo - Official Fire Emblem: Awakening thread- European DLC 16/5 out now!

Hey, I'm just glad to have another FE fan in our ranks. Sure, makes my wait longer...but the more who can enjoy the game, the better in my eyes!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

^It garuntees that you'll love the game!
On another note, anyone else find the Archer/Sniper class underwhelming? I mean not just cause their skills are meh, but the fact that they can't counterattack when under direct fire. I guess I mean the Bow as weapon. It's fine in other classes that can use weapons in addition to the bow as it gives them access to a ranged two-hit weapon, but as a standalone it feels less than good as you can counter a direct attack with every other ranged weapon.

Other than having exlusive use of Long Bows, yeah they are pretty meh.  Minus Raidant Dawn (sexy Crossbows), they are usually underwhelming in most game.

Just go with the the Bow Knight, Bride, Assassin, or Warrior classes if you wanna get your bow fix.

Bows sucks. You can't counter from adjacent attacks so the enemies swarm you. You're also soft and fluffy and get killed in 1 to 2 hits. If anything, the spell casters are too strong.

I could agree with that, the only thing is bows are very strong against flying units.

a great secondary weapon, but primary? You'd need to be a Shinon or Innes to make it work.

How do you get the bride class?

Good to know I'm not the only one feels that way about the Bows. :)

@newwil7l:
You have to beat the Smash Bretheren 2 DLC map.

DLC

Smash Breathen 2 to be precise

After defeating the chapter you get a Wedding Bouquet which acts like a Master Seal

Of course the class is female only and you should only use it on characters with good strength AND magic

I use it for more for the Lance/Staff than the Bow

Also has some decent Skills:

Rally Heart: +2 All Stats and +1 Movement for 1 turn to anyone in a 3 tile radius

Bonds: Restores 10 HP to all within a 3 tile radius at the start of each user turn

Yeah, I gave Lissa the boquet and she's definitely a great recipient. Although to give her a strength boost I gave her Lancefaire so that she can defend herself a little better.

But yes, Bonds (and Rally Heart for that matter) are great support skills which make the Bride Class pretty important for your team healer.

anyone tried this before skill wise.

I'm planning on doing this for Severa.
