The quality is good, but the artist clearly has no knowledge of the human anatomy (read: Dislocated legs, massive neck, spherical plastic chest etc.).

That's similar to how Japanese girls are expected to sit, just not with her legs *quite* in that position. One of them should be matching the direction the other one is going in.

That Elincia DLC seems expensive. 350 just for her? I'd pay that for a "Tellius Character Pack," with her and Micaiah.

Who cares for anatomy? And as for the pose and those things, that's just what Japanese publishers do when they want to address a certain audience (like me). It's actually a smart move because it can attract beyond the traditional Nintendo audience. Anyway if it is indeed the official art, I raise my hat to Nintendo for once! 

Yeah, I'm aware of that. But it still seems like the angle is off. The neck is the real issue for me anyway. The head looks far too big.

And I'd expect to see $2-$2.50 for each DLC pack. Remember, you can re-play each chapter with the characters from other DLC chapters, as well as get plenty of unique items and weapons from these maps. That seems reasonable, if pricey, for me. Maybe when it's localised, we'll be seeing 3 of these as a map/character pack for $5. More reasonable IMO. 

Just for the record, Micaiah's outfit is the Dark Mage outfit for Awakening. Micaiah is a Dark Mage because, as all the magics are thrown into the same skill, there is no light mage, and thus Dark mage is the closest. She's wearing the actual Dark Mage outfit.

Granted, there are some odd things about the picture (for instance, her head is larger than her chest), but that seems to be the direction they're headed in with the artwork. It's not my preferred style, but I don't hugely mind it either.

I actually prefer it to the way they went with the remakes. Only a few characters had art for them, and they looked kind of odd. For the game as a whole, the artwork is great. There's artwork for all the characters again, and it's of a far higher quality than it was in the SNES and GBA installments, and probably the Tellius ones too.

Very true. As I said before, it wasn't the attire which irked me (because it is the Dark MAge attire, very similar to that of the old games), but the out-of-proportion body parts...as you say, the artwork, on the whole, is of a very high standard. Krom and Lucina are my highlights so far, though I know Lucina is designed to look like Marth, making her design easier, but...

Also, I may be missing something obvious, because I see no issue with the link you posted. Sems pretty run-of-the-mill for me.

So who's getting this game, then? I've seen numerous people talking about an official thread, and well this is the best one I could find.

This sort of becomes a double-edged sword for me, though. I desperately want to hear tales of the game, yet I know it will only make me want it more...

wait a minute.  Radiant dawn had DLC?

I've persuaded at least 10 people to DL the demo (people outside these forums). So far, 4 played it all, loved it, and said they're getting it. How nice of Ninty to include 2 BEAUTIFULLY  animated cutscenes to attract the people who like cutscenes a lot.

No really though those cutscenes are freaking beautiful. (P.S I wonder if Monolith could recieve help from some of FE's animators, for some reason I see the style fitting well. Just my opinion though.)
