You people...you realize the Feb 10 delay was strongly rumored and even announced a day before the delay showed up on the Dojo? If every store delays the game...well hell, the game's delayed, they're the ones selling it.

If it gets delayed til March 1st, I can deal with that. March 31st is much longer though...

The ship date is still Feb 7th in my computer at Gamestop. I checked today

Nintendo may be playing it smart, wait until they have a large amount of Wii's to ship right at the time SSBB comes out, its not like the system is hard to sell without SSBB

 I don't understand at all how that is smart.  I think it would be stupid for them to delay their biggest game for that reason, it would piss off way too many people.  You seem to underestimate the amount of people that would get pissed about another delay.

Remember what nintendo did when Mario Party 8 was suppose to be released in April? They delayed it one day before its release so there is no telling if nintendo may delay brawl right before the February release date. Having all these rumors about game stores being told about another delay may happen to be a great possibility. However, I do say that I will not believe anything until nintendo officially announces it either by http://www.smashbros.com, http://www.nintendo.com, or in a press conference to the public. Anyways, for now I will just stick by dojo, and wait patiently for brawl.

They wouldn't do this. It's by far their biggest game next year--bar none. It would be the equivalent MS doing this:

Date: sometime at the end of August, when Halo releases on September 25.

"Sorry, folks! We know Halo is our biggest game ever, and it's been delayed multiple times, but even though we are 1 month from release, we're delaying it again until the end of November."

Long story short: it wouldn't be a pretty scene.

Good to know actually.  Everytime I go to Gamstop on launch date, they bitch that it SHIPPED that day and they wont get it for a while.  Good to see that we will actually get the game in our hands Feb 10.

interesting, just did some research for stores that accepts pre-orders, and found the following street dates:

 

best buy       2/10/2008

circuit city      2/10/2008

toys r us       2/10/2008

eb games     2/10/2008

gamestop     2/10/2008

compusa       3/9/2008

 

Walmart's page for pre-ordering brawl seems to not exist anymore. Probably because of that 19.82 error they had earlier. I am not sure if these are all the major stores for pre-ordering brawl.

Feb 10th is a Sunday so that can't be the ship date. Smash is street dated and if these delay rumors aren't true I suspect some stores will do a midnight launch for it on Saturday. My store has over 150 reserves now.

I'll try to get a copy on the 7th...and probably fail :(

For future reference, if a game isn't street dated most stores will have it the day after it 'releases'
