They wouldn't do this. It's by far their biggest game next year--bar none. It would be the equivalent MS doing this:
Date: sometime at the end of August, when Halo releases on September 25.
"Sorry, folks! We know Halo is our biggest game ever, and it's been delayed multiple times, but even though we are 1 month from release, we're delaying it again until the end of November."
Long story short: it wouldn't be a pretty scene.
