Thanks for the suggestion guys! I had forgotten about Valkyria Chronicles, I'll look into that one!

I'll also get Final Fantasy XIII-2 probably, and Ni No Kuni is going to happen as well, but as it has been noted, it was delayed.

My initiation list right now looks like:

Tales of Graces f
Final Fantasy XIII-2
Valkyria Chronicles

Sounds fun already!

I don't own many JRPG's, the only games I would have recommended were the Tales games but you already have that covered.

Still, I think if you are getting FFXIII-2, then get the first one as well on PS3 if you enjoyed it. It's extremely cheap and there is a noticable improvement in graphics, if you're getting the sequel then you may as well get the definitive version and keep the series on the same platform.

He already has the xbox360 version of it (of the first one) , why would you get the same game on another system o.O?

Because he is like me? I bought the Xbox 360 version of FFXIII a year after buying the PS3 version, no idea why. I've also sold games to get the superior version on another platform, or I just kept both, I think I have 4 games on the PS3 / Xbox 360 that are the same.

While this particular genre is allready discussed here. I would have a question and don´t wan´t to start a new Thread. Are there any JRPG for the PC available except the old PS and PS2 games which you can play on an Emulator. Are there any games like Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy?

I'd recommend FF XIII-2, Tales of Graces f, maybe Resonance of Fate...but I'd hold out for the english localization of Ni No Kuni. That game is going to bring classic JRPG's back to the console.

Other than those... this generation of consoles hasn't been very kind to the genre. So it's slim pickins'.

Also, if you have a 360, I'd pick up Lost Odyssey. If you like turn-based, that is THE premier JRPG of this generation. Hands down.

Final Fantasy VII and VIII are available on PC (PC version)

Breath of Fire IV (pretty good RPG, recommend you to play the GBA versions of Part 1 and 2 as well though they are not 100% related)

YS Series (though not sure if there is a english version..)

Grandia II (I think there is a PC ver)

Legend of Heroes series (though not familiar with the series)

The Last Remnant

Arcturus (Made by Gravity who created Ragnarok Online)

I had to stop reading your list when it got to Last Remnant.  I have no words for how awful that game was.

Yeah Ni No Kuni is the game I expect to play during this Christmas season. I do have Lost Odyssey, however I stopped playing it I think a little bit before halfway. Didn't get that much into it.

You could try White Knight Chronicles 2 (which includes WKC1) but you have to know that it's not that great.

Yeah...that's a common theme with most RPG's this generation.  You could try 'em, but... most of 'em aren't all that great.

Ys series is being put on STeam by Xseed now.  Other than that I can only think of the games that Carpe Fulgur brings over, primarily Recettear from them.

Wait it includes the whole game of part 1? Or just a portion o.O?

The whole first game. And upgraded with better graphics and gameplay!
