Good news about Xenoblade's sales. An analyst report projects that Xenoblade will be at #3 for NPD which probably puts it at 200k+.

Nice. That's what I like to hear...

...

We were talking about sales figures? Oh, OK

Nice to hear that it could be about 200k, or more! After all, how hard can it be to track sales from only one shop?

I am at prison Island right now. How much do I have left of the main story

Nothing at all. About 95% through. This is the last area of which you can save in/fast travel to. There's more at the top, but this is the 'real' last area.

Make sure you're around 80 going into the point of no return. You'll be warned, though

I just finished it 10 minutes ago. The last fight was pretty cool, but the end is very confusing.

It is, isn't it! I've done it twice, so it makes more sense.

You see, the whole thing with A...

Wait...

You STILL have to get digs in with Melia?  She's the best character! Look how happy she's making Riki!

For that 'intolerance', no explanation for you until you apologise to the Bird Lady and the Antiqua family in general

Joking aside, I still don't get why you can't get along with her. Her Ether arts are incredibly useful late-game, and also her VA is widely regarded as the best in the game...

I was just joking about Melia. She was very useful against her brother in Telephia form, and for the whole inner Bionis part And she was realtively useful if you had the heropon and sharla/shulk/Fiora in the team but against enemy or several weaker enemies. And she was a good asset against enemies with spikes. But in almost every case there were more useful Crewmemebers. Imo Sharla was the most useful support memeber, shulk/fiora the most useful playable. Maybe I really just didn´t know how to use melia properly.
But I really felt sorry for her at the end she was the character who suffered most.

Your spoiler tags were rather hit-and-miss. Remember, that Fiora is a HUGE spoiler for people at the start of the game, this counts for everyone!

Also, I really liked her. But yeah, it was sad. Poor girl. Dunban suffered more though IMO.

Her strengths really shine in those battles, and any battles against Ether enemies, and any normal UM really (due to incredibly high Ether). Her ability to auto-topple with no break proves invaluable, and she deserves to be in the team for that alone.

Finally, Sharla isn't needed is Reyn isn't in the party. Shulk, Riki and Melia all have healing Arts, and have such a short cooldown (6 seconds for Light Heal!!!) you can afford to lose the dedicated heal for more power. Only useful if you're underlevelled.

Just got it about two hours ago. I'll start it off in a couple of minutes. I'm hoping it's as good as you guys make it out to be. I was very let down by Final Fantasy XIII-2 and the few times I tried The Witcher 2, I actually fell asleep playing it. I need something fun, fast paced, interesting, and addicting to satisfy my RPG itch in the wake of Mass Effect 3.

Looking forward to hearing your reactions! I'm surprised to hear about The Witcher 2, though: I haven't played it myself, but I'd heard good things so far.

It should be a good game but I just couldn't get into it.  I didn't spend a lot of time learning the nuances of it.  I just went from battle to battle hacking people with my sword without any problems.  I finished the first bit of story and was walking around town.  Next thing I knew, it was morning, my Xbox was off, and the controller was still in my hand.  Either way, it failed to grab me so I'm putting it on the shelf for now.  It's just too dry for me.

Starting Xenoblade......wait for it.......wait for it........NOW!

Just don´t expect it to be as good as Mass Effect

Extremely late to the party here but after having invested 30+ hours in Xenoblade I have to say that the game is GREAT!. Yes it requires a large time investment. Yes it might just suffer a bit technically from being on the Wii but you know what? That just doesn't matter. It's a game I look forward to playing after a day's work and it has an action battle system that I actually wanted to learn rather than mash buttons and hope for the best. LOL

Don't worry, we're only in week 4! There's still a lot of partying left to do! Glad to hear you're enjoying it!

And I agree, it doesn't matter what the hardware is. The fact is, it looks great for the Wii, and the looks don't matter anyway. It's how the game plays.

After 30 hours, where abouts are you? Eryth? That'd be my guess, but I'm not sure...

Nah, I'm pushing 50 hours now and I'm in the Nopon Village. I've done a ton of side quests  and a lot of just running around exploring and getting myself into trouble.

Well...I thought I went slowly when I hit 50 hours just before heading to Valak Mountain...

I must admit, in Bionis' Leg, just running around and getting into fights I had absolutely no chance of winning was pretty sweet, as was taking in the scenery...

I don't 'get' how people can hit 50 hours and finish the game. Makes no sense to me...

I don't get that either. I still haven't advanced past the Nopon Village despite having added 10 more hours. I am restoring Colony 6 and racking up the side quests. I feel like this will be another RPG I don't want to end. I'm determined to poke into every nook and cranny before I finish.

I can't see how people could level up enough to finish the game in 50 hours.

Anyway already looking forward to a Wii U sequel.

A few years ago, there was a RPG for the 360 called Magna Carta 2. I bought the game because of the character art, mainly. Anyway, the expansive world and battle system really won me over. The story was a little weak but just having three characters working together, semi independent (you could choose if you wanted them to be balanced, attack, heal, etc.) and feeding off of each others power made me enjoy the game a lot more than I would have, otherwise. Mass Effect did this, but not exactly the same way. Anyhoo, when I finally got my hands on Mass Effect 2, I was pretty deep into Magna Carta 2. I couldn't stop playing it, even though I wanted to. A lot of people wouldn't get the appeal of MC2 but it didn't matter. I was hooked until the end credits were rolling.

Well, Xenoblade gives me the feeling that Magna Carta 2 did except the story is better, the battle system is better, and the controls are better. Graphics are not what I'd hoped but it's not a bad looking game at all. I'll toy with the features on my TV and see if I can make it look a little sharper and more colorful. Voice acting is pretty good so far, too. Music is EPIC.

I can see myself letting everything else fall to the wayside while I get sucked into this game. I've spent most of my time so far (only two characters--just got to the first town and took a break until my fam goes to bed. They keep wanting me to do stuff) just running around looking for battles and feeling the game out. I like it. If it does what I hope it does, and based on what I see so far, I can see this game being a satisfying send off to my Wii experience.

Basically, it will match the tracking of Chartz. I find it really likely since it shouldnt be hard to track just one chain store.  I have to laugh at some guys @ neogaf saying Xenoblade sales wont be higher than 2Ok.
