Just as an aside, could Xenoblade, due to its staggered launch, be the first game to win GOTY awards in 3 consecutive years with no re-releases? And/Or be the first game to sell more YoY for 3 years in a row?
Quite a bizzare quirk, I feel.

I am only like 2 Hours in, and i was kinda frustrated, getting my ass handed to me by elite-enemies, but the game is really fun so far. (The only thing that REALLY bugged me was how BAD the game looks on a HD TV.. i shouldnt have thrown my old one away... BUT i think it wont hurt the experience in the long run, i had the same problem with Persona4 after all, and P4 turned out to be my Favourite Game of all time regardless.)

Yeah, I had the same problem (the running and jumping animations really bugged me...), but after a little while I completely forgot. And when you reach the first major area (other side of the caves), the graphics don't matter, because the artstyle is so supreme.
And it's best to steer clear of any enemy which has a red name, or, at this stage, any Elite Enemy (special name, funky writing in the enemy box) which has a yellow name. It basically means 'run away'! You'll see this a lot in the first 30% of the game.
By the time I get halfway through the game, I suspect many will be finishing it. But then again I love being ridiculously overleveled. XD

Then you'll really love this game then.

Oh you
For someone who would rank it as a 9/10 game you certainly look at it negatively!
You CAN finish the game whilst being overlevelled, but it's hard. After you cross onto the area after Valak, the game gets more difficult and the sidequests become fewer and farther between. So for the first half, being overlevelled is easy. But the second half gets much more difficult. That's a good thing.
i am 7 hours in, and 1 1/2 were just consumed by crafting stuff... i mean, WTF is wrong with this world, since when is crafting fun? D:
It's epic but I am stuck on the part where you enter the cave and have to fight the 2 mechons...
I'm trying New game + with the girls clothes off. Maybe I'll take the guys clothes off too, in order to make it more difficult...
I do this in dragon age, or other wrpg's... Persona 3, or FFXIII-2 with serah's bikini. Because it's amusing saving the world w/o clothes.
:D

No no, it's 140 UM's, and 60ish boss fights outside of the first few faced mechon encounters. You're wrong about it ,because Fit's not the next plot twist. The rest of it sounds about right, though. I knew about this for a long time before I started playing, but the fun thing was actually finding it out for myself! It was still unexpected... In addition, there's many, many more plot twists to come. One of which towards the end (about 85% through) where the game seems to be tending towards the final cutscene, them BAM. I left it feeling as though I didn't know what to think of the game anymore, but I needed to know what happened to confirm my suspicions. |
You ruined too much as it is, I avoided the spoiler there. I didn't want to know there was a twist near the end.
I try to avoid all spoilers for games I like, I only recently found out how long Mass Effect 3 is and I know nothing about it except Reapers attack Earth.
Going to play some Xeno now.
