Forums - Gaming - It is clear, the PS3 is the Definitive Console of Choice for Multiplatform Games

Splinter Cell-Double Agent, Bayonetta, TES V Skyrim, Fallout 3, RAGE, Mass Effect 3 are disappointments though. All those developers are known for their affinity towards mainstream porting to consoles.

Basically, these developers should learn from the developers of Batman Arkham City, Final Fantasy, GTA 4, LA Noire, DMC 4, RE4, and ofcourse set Naughty Dog, Santa Monica studios and Quantic Dream as true examples.

I bet Max Payne 3 will be significantly better on PS3. Mark my words.

In the case of Bayonetta they didn't make the same mistake again - With Vanquish they made the port at their base and it did run a lot better on the PS3.
Its always what the Dev prefers > Ninja Gaiden 3 is running A LOT better on the PS3 - Guess why?Itagaki is gone and the crew obviously loves the PS3 more(im not talking about the quality of the game btw).
Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim are clearly targeted to the USA so they are favored to the 360 - But honestly both games look at least twice as good on PC,so no need for a 360 here.Especially Skyrim wins a lot if you play it on PC.If you mod the PC Version you can clearly see how lazy Bethesda was.
Alone some town mods show how great this game could have been - The game looks there like its already TES VI or something like that thanks to the community.

And Max Payne 3 is on PC too so no one cares if it runs better on 360 or PS3 - Its the fault of the person if he gets the worse versions while other people play with 120 frames per second on ultra high settings.

You really came out of the closet

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Eternal Sonata, Star Ocean: The last Hope ITNL, Mass Effect 2 (althought the comic did go to the 360 later), Tales Of Vesperia, Castlevania: Harmony Of Despair (includes local 4-P co-op, 2 DLC characters, and a DLC level where the 360 version does not) to name a few and sometimes games with simultaneous releases will throw the PS3 a bone like Portal 2, Arkham Asylum, Mirror's Edge, Mortal Kombat 9, Tekken Vs. Street Fighter... I was just saying it happens often, not all the time and Xbox 360 gets its goodies too, like the recently released Nemesis mode exclusively for the Xbox 360 version of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.

The graphics differences between PS3 and Xbox 360 graphics is too minor to notice anyway.

I remember people made a big fuss about how Street Fighter IV was pared back on the PS3, and I own both versions and I never notice any difference. The game is pretty much the same the PS3 even has a Championship mode the 360 doesn't. Even Bayonetta which was said to be much worse on the PS3 plays just fine, indeed the 360 performs better but the PS3 game is just as awesome... Same goes for the games that are worse on the 360, like Final Fantasy XIII, the minor differences take nothing away from the experience.

Back in the 16-bit era, I remember games lacking characters, content and player modes in some multiplats (Final Fight Super NES had no 2-player support, etc...).

These days a game lacks a few textures on the ground and people think it's a deal breaker? It is not, and it goes unnoticed unless you read about it.

Portal 2 came with the PC/Mac versions for free when you link your PSN and Steam accounts, as well as being able to play with Steam users. Arkham Asylum included a gameplay mode where you play as The Joker, Mirror's Edge included an exclusive time trial level, Mortal Kombat 9 featured Kratos from God Of War, and the Tekken Vs. Street Fighter has like 5 PS3 exclusive characters like Pac-man, Megaman, Cole (inFamous), Kuro and Toro (Sony characters). :3

Are you trying to be argumentative? Each of those games comes with something that isn't on other platforms so it becomes an incentive to buy whether you like it or not. All you did was try to discredit what I listed as if no one would want any of those features... It doesn't matter if any of these are a "big deal" to you, because they will be for some. I for one wanted the Mirror's Edge time trail, to play as The Joker (which was very fun), and to be honest I'd love to have free PC/Mac copies for Portal 2 just incase something happens to one of my platforms... Not everyone has the same wants.

The only multiplatform game for the ps3 that I didn't get because of performance issues was Skyrim. They don't deserve sales on the ps3....

Look you should buy the game and stop adding to the exaggerated complaints on Skyrim. After the last update, the game runs a lot better after 130 plus hours in it and the file size never jumps over 10 mb. It is certainly better on the 360, but not worth the internet nonsesnse this game recieves. It will rock your world.

On topic, why does anyone care anymore about which one looks better? The differences are mostly negligable and it is only a topic debated by people who only like one gaming company. The 360 and PS3 both have monster eye candy games, so get over the constant practice of bitching about small differences.

LOL...

if you want to get your credit card information stolen, buy a ps3. If you want service to go defunct for weeks at a time, buy a ps3. If you want.... See, you can go on forever with this.

I mean, I've actually grown up in the past couple years being away from VGChartz. It's sad to see that others have not lost their blind fandom.

And that's the only thing I need is *this*. I don't need this or this. Just this PS4... And this gaming PC. - The PS4 and the Gaming PC and that's all I need...
