Nice, you got one game down. Maybe youll care to repeat that a hundred more...

Alright, let's take it from here then.

How much of a ground breaking 360 success story has the gaming media made out of comparisons of games like Mass Effect and Bullet Storm compared to that of FF XIII-2 and Ninja Gaiden 3 ? You may not like them but they are lookers nontheless.

How many 360 ports does the PS3 have which it handles pretty well even though they barely take advantage of the Cell's power ?

80 % of the comparisons ?! I'm checking out a link posted above which gives Rage the advantage to the 360. The one game that is absolutely identical on both machines, that alone goes to say how objective the comparisons are.

Im not saying that the 360 doesn't benefit from minor advantages here and there when it comes to Unreal Engine shooters for the most part, nor do i share the thread starter's kinda radical view.

I am saying though that a huge part of the gaming media is taking minor -expected- advantages puts them on a pedestal and parades them in a pathetically desperate attempt to balance 360's lack of titles. When they fuck up on the PS3, they fuck up big like Skyrim and Bayonetta. But whenever there is an advantage on the 360 it's so tragically disproportionate the fuss the media and reviewers try to make to the actual advantage itself.

Check my thread.

Rage.

That game was promised by Carmack to be the same on both consoles, it ended up being identical. For the shake and the dignity of the shooter console the advantage is given to 360.

Check empathy in the dictionary.

No rage thread. Just truth.

Yay!!!

Yeah let's forget rage and the fact it was supposed to be some graphic marvel and that it's identical on both machines and let's forget that the lensoftruth which you cite gave it some (?!) advantage on the 360.

Let's go to the part you claim the advantage for the 360 cause the lensoftruth claims a 4 % higher torn rate on the PS3 for Revelations

Now lets go to the part where i point out how pathetically disproportionate is the fuss you are trying to make out of inescapable differences to games that were developed to look identical.

You take details that mean nothing and make a crown for the 360 out of thin air.

You know what, that exact logic has been used by media and reviewers alike for this whole generation to balance 360 lack of titles. How pathetic is that.

(And it's not that it has less titles, it's that it lost so many.)

So... your making something truthfull

biased?

April Fool's indeed.

His examples are solid.

You're right, hundreds of multiplatform games, and he gives 3 examples, one of which is most likely a port from PS3 to 360(FFXIII/2). Ever so solid. It's totally definitive.

Hundreds ?! Actually the PS3 is far more entitled at using the the "port" card and you could call FF XIII a port the first time and not this one.

The point is, how much do you see games like Bulletstorm and Mass Effect gloriously and painfully repeatedly paraded in multiplat reviews and how much did you see FF XIII-2, which if we could give it praise as a game is that it's definitely a looker.

Yeah hundreds, there are more games than just Assassin's Creed, FF and Arkham City - which apparently was better on 360 according to DF, well going by the site provided by Zane earlier, although most of the time his posts are rage inducers, in that case it contributed something meaningful to the discussion. Do click on it and see the comparisons in data on the internet.

In quite a lot of the cases, 360 edges PS3 out and will likely continue to do so with the few exceptions where PS3 was the leading design platform, when the games are developed side by side and not ported, 360 trumps it in most cases.

This has to be a troll thread for sure.

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

don't patronize me. Rage is a perfect example

and differences like a 4% torn rate are sometimes technically inescapable when it comes to different architectures and visually unnoticable.

a whole generation of this...

Difference is difference. Because there is less tearing on 360, even if normal people don't really notice that shit, there is still a difference. You agree with this stupid argument presented in the OP, yet here you are saying that difference itself is so small it's irrelevant.. Dafuq, going back on yourself?

So... I guess the data I provided makes this thread pointless?

Because the main idea of the OP (original post) is that PS3 leads in all three of those games based on performance and visuals. Which, with data provided, was proven wrong.

They are technically inescapable, you can't ignore that.

Let's not forget that there is a slight (but still there) drop in FF's graphics from XIII to XIII-2. Which console did that facilitate ?

I agreed he had three solid points  that the alleged "triumphant superiority" of the 360 is a lot of the times just marketing talk.
