Forums - Gaming - The Witcher 2 on PS3?

i already knew that this game was going to eventually end up on ps3.

I just wasn't sure if it would be announced to release on the same date at a later time so the 360 version could accumulate a significant amount of pre orders before the ps3 version could or it it would be the year late port with more content treatment.

its the same way i feel about Bastion and Minecraft eventually hitting ps3

PSN doesnt support indie games.

Yay!!!

Around the Network

they already said they bring it to PS3 last yr.

I really cant imagine how this game looks like on console hardware. I played this on Very High settings in 1080p, the opening, it looked beautiful!

don't think its true, if it is it will be a long time before ps3 gets it. the devs said they would like to do it but are worried about the xbox version, they also said they are going to announce 2-3 new IPs in the coming year or so... i doubt ps3 will get a the witcher 2.

then again, its a single player game and porting a game from 360 to ps3 usually isn't that hard, but the graphics won't be as good and might have issues similar to skyrim lag.

CD Project is not Bethesda.

You're right, but SEN does.

i dont believe it too be true, unless the dev says its comming . if it does happen it wont be released until late this year or spring next year, because the dev said they are a small studio and can only do 1 game at a time.

Jonathan Blow disagrees.

A late port of a 360 game that's a late port of a PC game? It will bomb hard. I would be sorely tempted to get it on PS3 myself, for the trophies. But really if I want to play the better game I should get it on PC. Maybe in this instance I won't be such a trophy whore and go for the best version of the game.

I wonder if this is true.

Somehow i doubt that the news is accurate. CD Projekt is hard at work with the third installment of Witcher and supposably 2 new IP's.

Not to mention that giving the port work to another company would be a massive risk when it comes to porting things to the PS3.

Also i would doubt that the PS3 version, if it came to be, would have extra content. They gave that to the xbox version and quickly released a patch adding this extra content for pc without any charge.
