Forums - Sony - What does Sony have to do to make you NOT want the PS4?

Make you're games tied to you're PSN account, Charge over $500-600 for it, even $400 is cutting it imo.

I hope its $400. Anything less and it means its a cheap underpowered system.

I'm betting Microsoft is releasing a mid-range console with Kinect 2.0 pack in at $400.

They would have to make it $600 for me to not buy it.(I would still want it though).

They would have to do digital/cloud only for me to not want it at all.

- Graphics processing power equal or just a little bit stronger than PS3.
- Casual games shit and/or everything motion control based.
- Needing to be online to be able to play. I just want to play ok. Of course this depends on the game.
- $600
- No hard drive or Memory Stick based.

Oh and charge for online.

Nothing.

I already don't want one. Only reason I'd buy one is if Nintendo got f'ed by 3rd parties again.

No BC
Cell Proccesor
First two years without new God of War or Ratchet & Clank installment
Removing the controller and replacing with full motion control
Actually releasing it with the Orbis name
No party chat

To make this list short and stop here, and keep it at: Plenty of ways to fudge up

Having a terrible launch like the PS3 or a mediocre one like the Vita.

Trying (again) to capture some of the motion controlled gaming scene.

Focusing too much on casual games.

- Motion controller as mandatory is a big no for me (as well as a tablet). Just let me chill on my couch with a controller without having to move much and keep my eyes focused on a single screen.
- I also wouldnt want a PS4 if its expensive (ill just wait til its cheaper of course)

Thats pretty much it. I dont care for backwards compatible as at first i thought it was really important cause i love my PS2 and its games, but i seriously never use it. So anybody that'll b*tch about Sony not adding bwc can go back to 2008.

I will consider not buying a PS4 if they do not re-design the standard controller. I like the current standard, but it is time for a re-design, they only need some slight modifications, nothing major...but it is time for something a bit different.

It's very simple, if it doesn't have games I want to play.
Not including a blu-ray player would make me hesitate too.

I bought a ps3 on day 1 because I wanted to watch the blu-ray movies I had already bought. ps4 will need to bring the games first this time.

I will buy all 3 systems, even the ones i've despised i've owned.

What Sony could do to make this not feel up to the Playstation name;

-Cheap out and drop below $499 for the base unit.
-No B/C
-Being less than feature for feature with PS3 at launch.
-Ship a sku without motion system. (This will be standard with the competition)
-Fail to tightly integrate PSV from day 1. (Launch games need unique Vita support)

Anything less than 8GB RAM, a 4PPU/32SPE equivilant CPU, and a GPU = GTX680 would be underpowered in relation to previous Playstation platforms.
