Went out today and got myself MAG, LBP and GOW3 today, all for trading in one PS3 controller that I got spare as my bundle :')

MAG? Why MAG? Anyways, lol trade.

That's a game I've been looking at since its announcement, when I found out it was exclusive to PS brand, I was a bit gutted.

What's a bigger punch in the balls though is the fact that I need to download 700MB worth of patches.. what the fuck.

Not from GAME or Gamestation, right?

Anyway, I see you're playing Battlefield 3 at the moment, MAG is very similar to BF3, but I don't think it's as good. You're better off just sticking with BF3.

Nah got it from CEX, GS and game are not doing any trade ins I don't think. And CEX offer better value anyway, but I've also glimpsed some good prices on the exclusives - £12 for GOW3, £4 for MAG and £5 for LBP so I took them three, was considering Heavy Rain, but found it a bit overpriced at £15 at the time.

Yeah so far I've only been mainly playing Uncharted 2, still need to install that stupid MAG patch and update the other PS3 games, but slowly getting there. I think I am nearing the end of Uncharted 2. Although admittedly the game is good, it's not the masterpiece that many made it out to be. The story hasn't gripped me so far in a way that some games did and the combat mechanics as well as animations can be annoying sometimes. I think I am on the way to getting used to a PS3 controller, but aiming is still a massive bitch.

So far my collection looks like this;

Resistance 2, Kz2, UC2, LBP, MAG and God of War 3.

I also used to think Uncharted was overrated, I thought they were good games at best, but after my 2nd playthrough of Uncharted 2 I started to love it. It's not the best game of the generation for me, but it's in the top 10.

I hate patches too, they never used to be a problem for me, but recent patches have taken almost the whole day to download (Gran Turismo 5 and Battlefield 3 are the worst offenders).

I think it's a good game, definitely top 10 I've played this gen, however, other than very much liking the main character and some visuals(Tibet and train sequence in particular) I have found not very much awe-inspiring that I was led to believe by so many PS3 fanatics.

Drake has to be one of my favourite characters(top 5) ever, probably very close to 1st, and the script is witty but seems forced at times, like they tried too hard to get the player to like the character, although I did fall for it!

I have BF3 on 360 and it took about an hour and a half to upload, whereas the MAG patch which is about 3/4th of the size is taking considerably longer, as well as the Resistance 2 patches.

I think I am nearing the end of Uncharted 2 too.

Uncharted 2 finished, a great game, enjoyed it immensely. There was something off about it that I can't quite put my finger on, but other than that, a great game, great characters etc. Definitely picking up Uncharted 3 after I am done through the backlog.

Contemplating whether to finish KZ2, Resistance 2 or boot up GOW3 XD

Must have titles (WARNING: I always overexaggerate shit somewhat:

1. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception (Already got Uncharted 2 I see, get the first one aswell. Uncharted series are a fucking bliss to play.)

2. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (I dont give a fuck. If you are a gamer, you WILL appreciate this game regardless of what history you have xD)

3. God of War 3 (Keep an eye out for God of War 4, we're all anticipating the announcement! This game has epicness written all over it.)

4. LittleBigPlanet 2 (I'd recommend 1 aswell but 2 is basically 1 on steroids. Playing this game with friends is fucking f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c!)

5. Gran Turismo 5 (Time to expand those horizons bro', pick it up and see if its your cup of tea. You only live once XD <3.)

6. Killzone 3 (I see you already got Killzone 2, get the third one aswell. It's action packed and pure satisfaction on the killing Helghast parts.)

7. Heavy Rain (Calling this an interactive movie might seem bad. But trust me, Heavy Rain is an experience. You will "feel" something and you will enjoy it. GET IT!)

8. InFAMOUS 2 & 1 (Great fucking games. Really fun and a very fucked up twist in the first game.)

You can start here. If you find yourself inlove with MGS4, I suggest you get the whole MGS HD collection and MGS1 off the PS Store (considering MGS1 and MGS4 are not available on the 360). Same applies to God of War HD Collection 1 and HD Collection 2. IF you find yourself inlove with GoW3; Check those out.

I also suggest you check out the recent PSN Game : Journey. It's an amazing experience which will hook you in and have you finish it in awe'. Also go buy Shadow of the Colossus & ICO Collection. Fucking amazing games, arguably the best on the PS2.

The last guardian (spiritual successor to Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. we have no fucking idea whats going on and why its taking so long, but play the remastered games and see why we are anticipating this game, despite what I said).

Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 will take time to complete honestly. They have this.. dark aura.. xD I can't explain it. Its the atmosphere (which is still rich and amazing but yeye).

Coming off of Uncharted 2: Play God of War 3. Seriously, it's the only thing that can measure up to the Uncharted series (along with MGS4 imo).
