An improvement they actually made over GOW1 and GOW2 was that the buttons appear at the side of the screen rather than ON it. So you don't really have to look for the button itself. Just try and see what side of the screen lights up the most. If left = press left button on the controller. if right = right button etc.

I actually fucking froze, looked at the X button, and still pressed square haha. /retardmode. But yeah it's a decent game so far, but then the puzzle elements start, don't get me wrong, I am not stupid when it comes to puzzles, I just find it so much of a fucking effort solving them, and in some cases see it as a cheap way to add gameplay value to the game.

Hahaha. Would you believe me if I said a lot of the GoW fans want even more puzzles? That they actually feel dissapointed that GoW3 had too little in comparison to GoW1 & 2? Yeah I know...

I'm personally in the boat of huge scale + brutal kills = awesomeness. I want more of that and I am damn willing to sacrifice puzzles for it xD. But I do admit that they do change the pacing a little which is alright with me ^_^.

Oh and seriously play Heavy Rain. If you're a hater of the games .."gameplay" (xD) try just TRY to get engaged into the story. Its one of those games that I wish I could replay without knowing anything about it ^_^. The first time I played it: I was on the edge of my seat through the whole thing and I had many O_O moments. And I am not talking about graphical/technical impressive stuff, it was more ...psychological xD.

Been meaning to try Heavy Rain, but I think I really need to finish GOW3, R2 and KZ2 before moving onto any other games, as I still have to refinish ME2 and ME3 on 360, as well as Dragon Age Origins + Awakenings. My backlog is colossal in terms of time investment.. All my 360 saves got corrupted during transfer so I have to replay them haha.

But yeah the action and brutality of GOW3 is what attracted me to it, as I usually don't really like Hack N Slash that much, only really Ninja Gaiden 2 has appealed to me before.

There's a Heavy Rain demo but it's not a polished as the real game. It will give you a good idea of whether you'll like it or not, though. And be thankful you avoided that horrible God of War 3 demo. It stopped me from buying the real game for over a year! I don't know what it is about Sony demos. Most companies say "This is a work in progress" but it's almost identical to the real game. When Sony says "work in progress", they mean it!

I have BF3 on 360 and it took about an hour and a half to upload, whereas the MAG patch which is about 3/4th of the size is taking considerably longer, as well as the Resistance 2 patches.

I think I am nearing the end of Uncharted 2 too.

Oh, that's good to know. The characters and visuals are the best aspects of Uncharted for me, and they get even better in Uncharted 3, I'm sure you will enjoy it.

My friend patched BF3 and downloaded B2K in an hour, I don't know why we get different download speeds, my internet is far better.

So far GOW3 has been pretty interesting, the brutality of executions still keeps me here, although I really don't like the gameplay all that much :x

No, not yet. Most likely a rental however as I don't really like JRPG's that much, the last one that I came close to completing was Lost Odyssey(Gave up on the fourth disk). My Dark Souls save got deleted, so I am still fuming about that, fucking blight town all over again.

God of War 3 is a fantastic Game but I think the violence goes a bit too far. And if you like GOW3 then you should purchase Castlevania Lords of Shadow. The Batmen games are highly recommendable of course I don´t know if you have them yet.

Get Ratchet & Clank!

A Crack in Time and Tools of Destruction.

ACiT is up there with Demon's and Valkyria Chronicles as my favorite PS3 exclusive. I think you'll like that one very much. Main Story will probably last you around 10 hours, but there's a lot of fun searching for Zoni, searching for bolts, playing puzzle modes, tournaments, etc. after that. Platinuming that game was fun as hell!
