Science is just the foolish and meaningless attempts of man to try to understand god.

God disproved himself, didn't you know?

Have you heard about the Babel Fish?

"Now it is such a bizarrely improbable coincidence that anything so mindbogglingly useful could evolve purely by chance that some thinkers have chosen to see it as a final and clinching proof of the non-existence of God. The argument goes something like this:

"I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing".

"But," says man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it? It proves you exist and so therefore you don't. QED."

"Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic.

"Oh, that was easy," says man, and for an encore goes on to prove that black is white, and gets killed on the next zebra crossing.

Most leading theologians claim that this argument is a load of dingo's kidneys. But this did not stop Oolon Colluphid making a small fortune when he used it as the central theme for his best selling book, Well That About Wraps It Up for God. "

Whoever comes to the conclusion that the Bible is in any way an evolved piece of theology is either;

a) Stupid

b) Ignorant

c) Thinks Greece was the cradle of civilization

Seriously, the Bible is full of children's stories. Go read the Upanishads or something.

Math is cool. I love it. Its basic principles is pretty much black and white. Finding a formula to an answer is where the tricky part is. That's the science part. Finding out what is, what exist, how things are, how they behave, all put in numbers on paper. There are too many variables in the universe.

All I'm actually waiting for is to discover is if the 4th dimension exist or not. I believe that'll clear up a lot of questions if it were discovered.

What 4th dimension are you talking about? Last I checked, time did exist. ;)

Time and space are only really relevant to the physical dimension. The spiritual or 4th dimension trancends space and time. The spiritual cannot be discovered by modern day scientists however because they have divorced themselves from spirituality. It's like trying to find an fm station on an am radio. To discover the spiritual it takes a spiritual experience.

Oh great. Tell me when you've found your 4th dimension.

I am actually bored of my non maths degree and miss my a level maths days, been less than a year and I already forgot complex function integration and differentiation, as well as the stupid natural log!

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

As someone taking a maths related degree, let me just say be very glad you did not take it on. ( I got very near 100% on all A-level modules, failed first year maths)

Rt= H+Yu-D/N*45.2?

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

Science is awesome. It's the only thing in the world that's fair.

Also, PhDs (or those studying PhDs) Unite!

I like the religious argument that was kicking off. Let's continue that!

I never understood why people couldn't accept both. Science and God.

Just keep trying. We need something to stimulate the board, after all.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
